and what is better for weight loss, medium difficulty or low difficulty with fast pedalling.
or high difficulty with your best pedalling *which will likely be low but strainous on the muscles (in a good way ,i don't mean painful.)*

an exercise bike is good. from what i've read try to do between 15 and 25 mph. or 60 revolutions per minute. You don't want to do high difficulty because it puts a strain on knees. you legs will get in shape but don't approach like it will build muscle per se. Weight lifting builds muscle.
so i recommend avoding high difficulty for more than a couple of minutes at at time
