Few questions about diet/working out?!

Question: Few questions about diet/working out?
Just started going to the gym. I've read that you should consume a protein shake immidietly after your workout, however the gym i go to is down at my university which is an hour away from where i live. After i do my workout, i go to a few group fitness classes so i'll end up back at home 4 hours after i've actually finished my workout. Is it okay to consume a protein shake then?
And secondly i have a question about my diet, whether it's good or not ;

Breakfast- Bowl of nutri-grain (open to suggestions of better cereals)
Few slices of toast and peanut butter

Lunch- 2 Bread rolls with salad+chicken
2 95g cans of tuna in springwater

Before my workout i'll eat a banana or something and for dinner i'll have whatever is on the table + a protein shake before i go to bed.

I would be eating more, like between lunch/dinner and breakfast/lunch it's just hard to acess lots of food at uni, but i eat more during my resting days which i perform cardio on (soccer) as i don't go to uni those days.

Is the diet suitable?

Answers:

Get a blender bottle from GNC and buy whey protein powder (EAS is the best, vanilla.) Add the powder only to the bottle and take it with you, then fill it with water after your workout and drink it as you go on with the rest of your classes. IDK about the diet, sorry =)

Well I don't know about your diet but I know for sure that you need protein after you work out. Even a few nuts are better than nothing. Because when you work your body it needs something to eat (haha) and if you don't have some protein it will eat your muscles!
