hello, I did have a weight problem for so many years that it seemed hopeless. I used to take all kinds of pills but nothing seem to work. Till I found this site, I was a bit skeptical at first. there was a bit of improvement for the first 2 weeks, but I felt good. After going through that initial stage, which was great for my confidence, I started working on my diet habit to maintain my results. I couldn't be more happier. Honestly the gastric band is for people whose lives are immediately threatened by their massive weight. It's not for 17 year olds, not even for 20 or 25 year olds. You will not be able to find a doctor that will do it for you. Be aware that even if you lost all your weight, you will still have sagging skin, stretch marks (if you have them now), and you may never look like the image you have of yourself in your head.

I weighed 150 pounds (6st 10lb) when I started my diet and even though I lost 20 pounds already, I still have my stretch marks, uneven boobs (sorry for the TMI) and arms that jiggle. I'm never going to be able to wear a bikini because of these things and when I lose all the weight I might even have to have plastic surgery to get rid of all the extra skin, from only being 30 pounds overweight!

The first step is to change your mentality towards food, your health and your outlook on life. You don't HAVE to be a victim to your weight. The only person making you a victim is YOU. Do you want to eat a slice of pizza, when the pleasure of that will last 5 minutes? Or would you want to be thin and healthy, which the pleasure and pride of achieving that will last a lifetime?

Tell your family that you need to lose weight for your health. Make them take you to your doctor so you can work out a diet plan and discuss how much you need to lose.

You DO have the power within you to take control of your hunger. Hunger is only in the mind.

You HAVE the willpower to resist tempting, sinful foods. You can either be above your hedonistic, self-destructive desires; or you can wallow in gluttony and self-hate. Choose.
