Question: Am I an ok weight? or under or over?
im 5"2, 83lbs, girl, 14, my calf is 11", my thigh is 17", my measurements are 30-20-28

Hi! Well, your weight is much lower than the desirable body weight for your height. The target weight for your height is 125lbs. but you can also weigh 110lbs. (low) and still be healthy. At your age, you don't have to be much concern of your "figure" because you are still on the process of growth. Various changes are still expected from your body, so, must keep your body healthy at all times. That must be your primary concern as of the moment. When you're healthy, then everything will follow.

Here are some helpful tips for you to gain weight healthily:

* Increase total food intake by making bigger servings or adding snacks to make a high-calorie diet.

* Eat between meals if you are not used to eating much during regular mealtimes.

* Choose nutritious and wholesome foods or snacks.

* Choose nutritious drinks like fruit juices, fruit shakes, milk and milk shakes. Avoid coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages, and soft drinks.

* Make food presentation and table setting more appealing and nice.

* Consider tips on how to improve appetite.

* Establish a regular eating habit.

* Eat a heavy breakfast, moderate lunch, and a lighter supper.

* Eat food of the right kind, at the right interval, in the right amount, and in the right condition of mind. Eating in a relaxed atmosphere is ideal.

* Have at least 5-hour interval between meals for digestion to be efficient. Last meal of the day should be taken at least 3 hours before sleeping.

* Eat more fresh fruits.

* Eat at least one serving of dark green leafy vegetables a day.

* Eat more unrefined, unprocessed foods.

* Include a variety of foods each meal.

You are under weight. Are you dieting too much. At this growing age, you must feed yourself with adequate protein & minerals. You can not do it after reaching the fully grown age of 21.
