How do I know if my diet will work?!

Question: How do I know if my diet will work?
I'm a very routined person. Here is my plan:
bf: raisin bran (chosen due to high amounts of fiber) & banana (I tend to have a potassium deficiency)
l: peanut butter (sometimes jelly) sandwich (chosen for the protein in peanut butter to keep me satisfied) and an apple
OR
egg salad and an apple
d: salad version of whatever i cook for the family (i.e. tacos = taco salad, chicken = chicken salad)

exercise:
monday: 30 minutes cardio
tuesday: 30 minutes cardio & 20 minutes strength training
wednesday: 30 mintes cardio
thursday: 30 minutes cardio & 20 minutes strength training
friday: 30 minutes cardio
sat&sun: rest

I also drink more than 8 glasses of water a day.

Will i lose weight if this is my routine? I must have a routine.

Answers:

Raisin Bran has too much sugar in it. Find breakfast cereals that are at least 20% of RDA of fiber and 12 grams or less of sugar. Eat oatmeal with berries on top on occasion. Eggs cooked in real butter or hard boiled a few times a week are good too.
Watch the calories in the salad dressings. And the amount you use.
Jam and jelly is almost pure sugar. Eat fresh fruit instead. Whole wheat bread. White bread is like glue in your stomach.
Try to add one more day of strength training. One day of full rest a week is adequate.

hello, I did have this bad eating issue since forever. I used to be a diet product nuts. Until a friend recommended this method, I was a bit skeptical at first but I felt there was nothing to lose. I saw some results after 2 weeks, but I was amazing. After dropping that initial weight, which was great for my confidence, I started to develop good eating habit so I could continue to keep off the fat. I couldn't believe I hadnt found this earlier.
