Is this an effective diet?!

Question: Is this an effective diet?
Well, I am just trying to lose a good few pounds before holiday :) .
I am usually a snack-a-holic!
So, I am eating no bread, no crisps, basically NO junk food or unhealthy stuff.
I am only eating my 3 meals a day and if I need a snack it will be fat-free yogurt or fruit.
Also, I will walk an extra 4000-6000 steps a day and 30 minutes on an exercise bike.

Does this sound okay? Will I see results? :) Thanks in advance.

The part where you stop eating unhealthy food sounds GREAT! The 3 meals a day is good however the rule is 5-6 times a day for so many reasons like increasing metabolism, keeping your body fed etc etc. Yogurt as a snack is fine just limit it to 2-3 times a week and make sure it's plain greek yogurt you can add organic berries 1/4 cup should be fine in my opinion Chobani is the best and has 18 grams of protein NICE! Walking is EXCELLENT for weight loss and management also biking is good at a low resistance especially if you don't want to build big bulky legs. Plyometrics blast fat as well as incorporating interval training you can do this with a run1 min walk 1 min pattern for 30-45min and and also on your bike by doing bike sprints or bike intervals. Pedal Fast 30 seconds pedal at a slower pace for 60-90 seconds for about 30 minutes.

snack ideas in between meals
Rice protein shake 1 1/2 scoops with 1/4cup of almonds, walnuts or 1tbsp of Nut butter
Rice cakes w/tbsp nut butter
1/4 cup unsweetend cranberries 1/4 unsalted natural nuts
1 small apple / protein shake (powder mixed with water)
frozen grapes 1/2 cup
small chicken salad or tofu salad (balsamic vinegar for dressing) flax seed. Use romaine or spinach leaves.

Visit your local public library and check out a fitness video that incorporates weight training to tone your body as you lose, otherwise you'll just be a skinner version of yourself without muscle tone if you're only doing cardio. This is referred to as skinny fat.

Weight train at least 3 times a week.

These are only suggestions be sure to speak to your Doctor before starting any food or exercise plan.

woah! of courrse it will work. YOu combined healthy eating with exercise, and your body will thank you for losing weight the healthy way. other than making your body more fit, you are also going to keep the weight off longer if you lose fat the healthy way (whichc is what you are doing--good job!)
and rememrber: no chips!
and you can still eat bread but make sure it is whole wheat bread and not white bread!!
