What is the best way to do push-ups if you want to gain bulk?!

Question: What is the best way to do push-ups if you want to gain bulk?
I used to do push-ups by adding one or so everyday, until I was up to 100 or so. But that made me more lean, like a swimmer. How do I do them to "bulk up"?

Answers:

Put your legs on a chair or somewhere higher. If you really want to use pushups only.
Do 20 pushups really slow, if you are doing it right, then it should not feel easy.
Rest 1 minute and repeat. Muscle needs to get protein too.

The only way you are going to "bulk-up" from push ups is to add weight to them. I used to have my lil sister sit on my back while I did them. You could also add a weight plate to your back. But realistically the best way to add bulk from a push-up is to just do bench-press. If you don't have acesss to a gym hit-up some yard sales. You can typically find a bench, bar and sand-weight set for around $10-15

Esentially your body builds muscle from lifting a very heavy weight. Anything you can do more than 12 times isn't going to build you muscle. 100 push-ups will make you a lil stronger and definitely increase your muscles endurance. IE: you can pry swing an ax quite a few more times than most before you get tired. But it isn't going to make you bigger. Heavy weight, low reps builds muscle

you burn fat to fast you have to Eat Eat Eat about 6 or 7 times a day
