Does it annoy you when people with bad eating habits ask you how you lost weight!

Question: Does it annoy you when people with bad eating habits ask you how you lost weight/how are you skinny?
I am about 5'5" 115 lbs. My weight has fluctuated a lot throughout the years, I've been a bit chubby before but never overweight that I can remember. Anyways, my fiance's mother and sister are both pretty heavy, not quiet obese but definitely overweight. They are always wondering how I keep my weight down, asking if I'm doing a new diet or working out more or using drugs. It seems to baffle them that I am "effortlessly" slim. The humorous part about it is, they both eat a lot and usually it's fast food. When it's not fast food, they still eat a massive amount. Then they do not exercise, in fact they deliberately avoid exercise. His mother actually paid my fiance and I to mow her lawn and trim her trees. Then she acted like she was fascinated that I, as a woman, was willing to and able to get out in the 100 degree weather and trim trees. To me, it seems obvious why they are overweight, yet they are so oblivious. The sad part is, his mother is a Registered Nurse. (So am I) You would think she would know a bit about how to take care of her body before she goes and cares for others. Anyways, since I can't voice my opinion to them because I don't want family drama, I will voice it here on yahoo answers. Does anyone else feel annoyed by overweight people who question your ability to stay thin, when they have horrible eating habits? Thanks

What annoys me is how so many people can't grasp such a simple concept. They all know that crappy food made them gain the fat in the first place, yet they can't or won't accept that healthy food and exercise is the only way to permanent fat loss. One would think it would appear obvious to all what would happen if a person reverts back to their old eating habits of crappy foods, but most don't get it. They waste their time, money and health on fad diets and gimmicks, when it should be obvious why a temporary diet will never produce lasting results.

I am fat and get annoyed when people ask this question to skinny people. Of course some skinny people have just perfect genes but most fat people do have bad habits.

I'm not overweight but I'm Not skinny like som of my friends. And until recently I thought that everyone just ate whatever they wanted when they felt like it. It's a good thing I run or I would be 200 pounds!

not necessarily... becuase i know that those people grew up that way... eating garbage.. so they wouldnt know anybetter

YES!! very very much!

Well, recently have lost quite a bit of weight, and had lots of questions about how I lost the weight. I work with health care professionals as well. It is obvious to me that when people are intentionally losing weight, the answer is diet and exercise changes. But, instead of saying "Duh!" It's not too hard to figure out! I just tell them the types of foods that I avoid, the types of exercises I do, and other dieting tips like not eating too close to bedtime. Maybe you have a natural inclination to keep your body healthy by preferring the healthier less fattening foods, and get regular exercise. You make it seem effortless. Being in love with food and liking to relax has made losing weight an incredible challenge. Just be honest with them about how you take care of your body. You may inspire them to change their habits. But I can see why it seems silly for people to ask these things when you know they know the answer.

I dont really feel annoyed about it most people ask questions like that as kind of a compliment form. most likely they relize they do not eat correctly but want to know how you do it many people ask and wonder like its some sort of magic mainly because they do not have the self control to be able to lose the weight or because they have an illness or something. me personally I just explain how I did it take it as a compliment and shrug it off no reason to get annoyed at questions

A decently fit man
