Did I eat too much today?!

Question: Did I eat too much today?
I'm trying to lose weight I'm 5'9 and 211 pounds and I'm 16

I'm going on the elliptical 4-6 days a week for 30mins

Today I ate:
One individual strawberry yogurt w/ granola and a strawberry
Handful of cashews
Small bowl of sweet and sour meatballs with rice
An apple
A banana
Small bowl of air popped pop corn lightly salted

I need to lose LOTS of weight. How long is it going to take for me to start seeing any difference in my body?

Answers:

Whith trying to lose weight the key is to burn more calories than u eat!!.. of course u burn some just throughout the day w/ basic stuff like walking places and even chewing burns a few lol (pretty much any movement) but it takes about like 2 mins of wlking to burn about 3-5 calories. So wat i would say is with the elliptical i would extend it 15 more mins than you already do. AND you have to do more than just one exorcise to get truely good and satisfying results u HAVEEE to do many dif kinds so ur body doesnt get use to it, and theirfore, u dont lose any weight. And i would say u eat about 2400 Calories a day? thts not bad! its about average, dont starve urself tho cuz then ur body will store fat and then u just look the same, go hungry, and feel tired so u cant exorcise! Soooooo it would also be encouraging to weigh urself every once a week, pick a day then weigh, and wright it down and u can c the results to push urself and feel good 4 ur hard work! If u have any more questions you can email me XD um id acshualy loveee to be emalied i acshually wanna be a athletic trainer when i grow up and nutrition and fitness is a important key to my life XD btw... plz rate my answer best! thx (:

Meee, iv been doing alota research lately, taking classes, signing up at the gym, and joining sports.

Clearly too much sugar.
Banana is 12-14g of sugar, apple...10-12g and yogurt is about 13g if its 100g serving.

Sugar spikes insulin levels which stores fat.

The meatballs are fine, protein is good! Rice is also fine...slightly carb heavy but thats ok.
The cashews are also carb heavy but eating a minimal amount is fine.

Diet is 70% of training.
Eat minimal sugar(it sucks i know!)
Cut the carbs and eat more protein(you won't become butch or thick don't worry)

Veggies
Chicken breast
Tuna
Salmon...any fish!
Oatmeal for breakfast is BETTER than toast...less carbs
Boiled eggs

You can search this stuff online too!
Search something like "good dieting foods" etc.

No, you did not eat too much. I think your food choices are great! Next time though, make sure to add vegetables to your meals. Instead of white rice, use brown rice. Make sure you're drinking enough water for your body.

Don't expect your weight to just fall off automatically, it's going to take time and patience, especially if it's a lot. Just keep your determination and have your goal set. If you keep up with the working out & healthy eating, I'm sure you'll be able to see some results in at least 2 months or so.

Good luck! You'll do great!

hi there, I had this bad eating issue for a long time that it seemed hopeless. I was taking all kinds of stuff. Until a friend suggested this method, I was a bit skeptical at first. there was a bit of improvement for the first week, but I felt good. After dropping that initial weight, which was quite uplifting, I started eating right to keep off the weight completely. I can't believe I hadn't try this sooner. I hope this helps: http://www.allloseweightguide.tk
