fiber one 90 calorie bars?!

Question: Fiber one 90 calorie bars?
im on a diettttt, and i find these to be SOOOO good. staying in my calorie range, is it possible to eat TOO much of these a day?

Answers:

The short is yes, it is absolutely possible to eat too many Fiber One bars in a day. I can think of three issues off the top of my head...

1) Variety-- your body requires various nutrients throughout the day that you can only get by eating a diet with a range of healthy food types. Clearly, you're meeting your fiber goals, but if you're even eating three of those bars each day, those extra two are taking up 180 calories that should be coming from high protein or complex carbohydrate foods.

2) Sugar-- Those bars are yummy for a reason, and it's not the fiber. Your body doesn't need more sugar than what occurs naturally in raw foods. Don't add more by adding in 20 grams of added sugar in the form of granola bars. It will slow your diet progress to a crawl, if it doesn't bring it to a screeching halt.

3) Gas-- While fiber has many wonderful health benefits, getting too much fiber is not a good idea. Each of those bars contains 20% of your recommended daily fiber intake (that is, if you consume 2,000 calories per day. If you're female, you consume fewer calories, which means less fiber, which means each bar contains greater than 20% of your daily fiber intake). Too much fiber can make you gassy and bloated and can cause diarrhea. Fiber can also bind to and carry out needed minerals such as iron, calcium, and zinc which so many people have a hard time getting. These binders in fiber act as chelating agents which link chemically with nutrients and then carry them out of the body. Too much fiber can also carry water out of the body and cause dehydration, stomach distress and feelings of bloating. It is recommended that most women obtain 25 grams of fiber. While 30 grams would be ok, consuming 40 or 50 grams would be too much

Well, you have to eat many kind of food of day, such as an egg , that's only 70 cals and cheap. how about a tin of tuna fish 110 cal, and a pack of oat meal, reduced sugar version about 120 cals. an apple about 70 cals..... There are so many option you can take.

Yes, too much fiber, especially if you aren't used to eating a lot, can cause stomach problems.

Well, yeah, if you had like a whole box. Too much of anything would cause weight gain (even eating like 10 apples) Shhhh! ;)
