Question: Going without food for 2 weeks?
Okays,I am not the one trying this but a friend of mine who's slightly overweight,she's 162 and weigh 149 pounds...she likes this one guy and wants to look slimmer for him,so she's starting today totally not eating anything except a little bit of plain water every 2 days for 2 weeks,she's very decided about this but I'm just wondering,like...will she faint?or something bec to me 2 weeks seems a pretty long time to go totally without food right?

I'm guessing she's going to give into SOME food by then. But 2 weeks is a long time to go without food. She will not be getting the nutrients that her body will need. And she will probably lose ability to focus/concentrate as well, get irritated easily, find it hard to sleep... lots of other not fun side effects. It's too bad because if she feels that she has to lose weight for this guy, he's probably not worth it then. If this was me, I would hope that my friend would talk some sense into me :)



Yeah, your friend will definetly faint if she decides she is going to try that. Everyone knows that u dnt lose weigh by starving urself, the process of losing weigh might actually be reversed. She will get sick because her body is not use to that. If she does do it, the weight will be gained right back immediately after she starts eating again. That is an unrealistic diet plan. She must stay hydrated!!! But due to low blood sugar she could definetly faint. All of these lose weight gimmicks are silly. Everyone knows if you wanna lose weight you gotta eat right and excerise. Do it with a friend to make it easier and be encouraged. Lastly, if u gotta lose weight for a guy hes not worth it anyway. Take it from me, im a 20 yr old female. Be comfortable in your own body, life is too short hun!!

Common Sense



yeah, you need carbs and the necessary vitamins and minerals vital for health. Honestly, the desired weight loss won't necessarily be there. The body will go into shock, and turn to survival mode. It will start eating the muscles, not the fat. Then when you try to eat again, you will gain more weight (metabolism is slowed down dramatically and your body stores the food, incase a similar situtaion happens again..therefore getting fat more quickly). I don't recommend anyone going that long without food. Yes she will faint..... The best solution is called eating healthy and exercising daily.



firstly, the guy is not worth and will probably still not pay attention to her after she loses the weight..

Secondly, your friend will most likely last 2 days MAX without food...trust me I thought I cud do it until i actually started.....your body needs food to function.....She will only end up gaining weight.



That is the wrong way to lose weight. All that will happen is once she starts eating again, shell just gain the weight back, plus more. Besides, its not good for your health at all. Just excercise and eat porptionally. And something else, a boy is not even close to a reason to do such harm to yourself. In a year you wont even remeber his name.

Listen to me, I've tried this and im 13 I put on weight doing this, because my body went into starvation mode, when you don't eat it stores up fat.
That is a really stupid descision.



First off, you're friend is STUPID if she thinks you can live 2 weeks with out food.... Eat clean and exercise will help you're friend, not starving herself to death..
