Why can I never stick to diets.. what gives you motivation to keep to your diet?!


Question: Why can I never stick to diets.. what gives you motivation to keep to your diet?
Answers:

What gives me motivation is two things; first I really want to lose the extra pounds. You have to really want it to stick with it. Second, I workout with my Zumba DVDs 5-6 days a week. Once I work out, I don't want to blow my hard work by going off my diet. It's very hard to get started once you make the decision to begin a diet. Once I see the weight start to slowly come off, I know I want to keep at it. I don't look at my weight loss goals in the term of total pounds I want to lose. I work at each 5 pounds at a time. Instead of saying "I have 25 pounds to lose" or I've lost 10 pounds, I have 15 to go", I just tackle small goals at a time.



Willpower and reminding your self why you are on the diet. Also either support or competition depending on your personality. Also best to get rid of all 'bad food' to stop you snacking in weaker moments. You should allow wee treats in every now and again. Try breaking your ultimate goal into smaller ones - so say you want to loose 1/2 a stone- you should try 1-2 lbs every week. and keep tracking your progress. Check out myfitnesspal.com where you can record all your food and exercise as well as chart your progress, access a forum, link to friends etc. It helped me. But the best thing to do to help loose weight is exercise.

the longest ive stuck to one was for 3 days....so i fail as well.

I just started a new diet and i found telling people is giving me more motivation and strength. Think if you tell everyone "hey im trying to be healthy and lose weight" they typically will not push you into eating unhealthy stuff. Or make a comment when you do and trust me you'll stop. I got a cookie at work and one girl says arnt you on a diet Me: oh yeah thanks (cookie in trash)

Diets are not working with me too......i have never stick on one......my advice to you is.....
1- workout 1 hour a day and be active....
2- eat less or cancel your dinner....
believe me if you just did this two things......you will loss weight......i am always do this and it works.



by telling myself i deserve to look in the mirror and like wat i see .



maybe you just don't want it enough.
