Question: Do u count the calories u ate minus exercise or what?
For example::: I ate roughly 1,400 calories today BUT i exercised 800 off so my question is do i still say i ate those 1,400 calories OR did i actually only eat 600?? What would u all go by???

Answers:

The 800 is subtracted from the total amount consumed

...just burn more calories than you take in.

Remember that your body is always burning calories, not just when exercising. Find your Base Metabolic rate, which is essentially how many calories your body would burn if you laid in bed all day.

Find your Base Metabolic Rate here: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calcul…
(This isn't an ad or anything btw, just trying to help =D )

Now add how much you exercise each day to your BMR (consistent, daily, relatively light exercise is much more effective than working out like crazy a couple times a week), then tack on another 500 for regular activity (walking, climbing stairs, or just sitting up).

Take this figure, and add the amount of calories you burn per day through exercise.

If your daily calorie intake is 1/2-2/3 of the resulting figure you're on the right track! Keep it up for a couple months and watch the pounds fall off.
