Why am I not losing any weight?!

Question: Why am I not losing any weight?
I am in my twenties and weight about 70 pounds over what I should. I started an aerobics class about 3 weeks ago, and I am sweating my tail off during class! I also eat between 1200 and 1500 calories per day, depending on how much I work out. I do allow myself one cheat day a week, but even on that day I usually don't stray too far over 2000 calories. I have not lost any weight at all!!!! Why is this and what can I do differently?

Answers:

THE AMEN SOLUTION book by Dr Daniel Amen

you need nutritional calories
e.g. (for example) 250 calories
1) glazed donut
2) Ice cream cone
3) candy bar
or
4) yogurt and blue berries
5) lentil soup
6) spinach and walnut salad with salmon

only 4-5-6 are "good choices - although all provide 250 calories
make them count!

also - cut out all sodas - smoking - alcohol
(going from preaching to meddling now) artificial sweeteners

I have dropped 12 lbs in 4 weeks and my 30 day average
blood sugar stick (Diabetic 2) is down 27 points !!! OOOO RAH!!!!

thinner, smarter, happier

oh yeah - Dr Amen rocks!

all the best

Trust me. Eat about 1600 cal a day, cut sugars. Get rid of the cheat day it WILL destroy your efforts because its more than just calories that factor in. Once a week is wayyy too often. Add strength training 3 times a week and eat more lean meats and vegetables. Cut candy and empty calories. Take a multivitamin. Also, give p90x and insanity a try, you will be very happy with the results they are no joke. Muscles are where the metabolism burns fat, so when you have more, your metabolic rate increases. 70 pounds is alot, and don't lose more than 2 pounds in a week or ull pay later. Try clif products i am a huge fan. They give u energy and protein, there all natural and most are about 70% organic and they taste awesome and are filling. They have lots of vitamins and minerals and no refine sugar, plus they arent overpriced i get CLif bars for 83cents a piece

lots of experience

Hey, Seems like all I had were a bunch of questions. I have struggled with an extra 40 pounds for quite some time. But I came across a site that had an article that really helped me get many of the answers I was looking for. Hopefully you can find some of the answers you are looking for over there as well. Here's the link to the post that helped me reach my weight loss goal. Hopefully it helps you. I did notice they had several articles and give a lot of helpful advice. Maybe a couple of minutes over there would help you get the right answers.

Good luck

You know what? Lower your calorie intake. Maybe your metabolism is super slow or something ..eat only when your stomach growls. No salt or sugar. Or at least not too much.. and drink lots of water ;) All in all, you just have to burn more calories than what you've eaten.

maybe you eat too much on your cheat day D:
or maybe you should do cardio
