Answers:

There are so many things that you can do. I am currently documenting my progress with a calorie counter online and a blog, thecaloriecounter.weebly.com. By recording my food, I'm taking into account everything that I eat and second guessing many of my unhealthy decisions. You don't have to sign up for something like I did on everydayhealth.com, but If you just write it down everyday or plan out ahead of time all that you're going to eat, you might make healthy decisions.

You really just need to look at what you eat. Do you have balanced meals? How often do you eat? Do you eat fast? Do you eat when you're not hungry? Do you skip meals or eat too little? Snacks are good throughout the day - the body generally gets hungry about every 3 hours! Just healthy snacks (look at the content of what is in a "health" bar compared to a back of unflavored nuts or a pile of carrot sticks).

The most important thing is everything in moderation.. Carbs are great because they give you fuel, bread, grains, etc., but they can really add on the weight where you might want it the least.. It is best to focus on greens like vegetables and natural sugar like fruit. Also, meat is definitely important for protein, but too much red meat can be a bad thing, so stick with fish or chicken and try to have meat once or twice a week.

It is also important to only eat when you are hungry, and by doing so, eat slowly. Take at least ten bites for every chew, maybe even eat a part of your meal and wait a little. You would be surprised to see that you are not that hungry. Iff you are very hungry and eat fast, it is easy to shovel a lot of food in, but you will end up feeling stuffed.

Another thing to watch out for is drinks. Water is really the best, and there are so many drinks that have so much sugar or calories a part of them, you would be surprised.

Every healthy diet also includes exercise! Try to get at least thirty minutes in at least four times a week if not more. There is so much you can do, but you need to see what works best for you! There will be times when you might feel hungry, but just try to l imit yourself on sweets or "heavy" things, snacks, etc. Best of luck!
