What's a quick way to lose 5-10 lbs in less than a week?!


Question: What's a quick way to lose 5-10 lbs in less than a week?
This isn't for me, it's for a friend who is joining the Navy, but in order for him to sign papers he has to drop seven pounds. He's going to be weighed on Tuesday, and needs to have dropped this weight by then. This is COMPLETELY unhealthy, I understand that, but he's desperate.

He's tried just about everything as far as dieting goes - he's fasted for four days, drinking nothing but water. Didn't work, obviously. He ate only celery for a few days, didn't work. He was on the Atkins for a while but that didn't work. And then tried this three-day chemical breakdown diet that also didn't work. He goes to the gym as much as he can, which is about three times a week and runs for an hour each day, as he's not allowed to work out on anything else at risk of gaining muscle weight.

Any suggestions? Help is greatly, greatly appreciated.

And once again, I know there is no healthy way to drop that amount of weight in that time. But right now, he's willing to do anything (besides hard drugs lol) in order to do this.

its impossible to lose that much weight in 1 week, but there is 1 way. But its unhealthy Just stick ur finger down ur throat and vomit. That what some models do.



Water weight could be up to 15 pounds. So have him drink water up until a day or 2 before weigh in and stop drinking water *almost* completely. It will trick his body into thinking he's still drinking a lot of water and flush all of his fluids out therefore dropping plenty of pounds to make weight.

UFC fighters do it all the time.



I only know the one way to lose weight, this is running, you can suggest him to run as much as he can, he should not take less food, nothings r required.



You will lose muscle mass and this is unhealthy but just drink water that it!



Eat helathy: eat 3 whole meals a day. FOr your meals, you want something helahtly and that fills you up so that you don't get hungry again for a long time. You need to also make healthy choices like eating whole wheat bread or whole grain bread instead of white bread and brown rice instead of white rice. Cut all junk food. They are bad for you and cause weight gain fast. Cut fast food as well! If you get hungry in between your 3 meals, eat a piece of fruit/vegetable, low-fat yogurt, skim milk, or fruit juice. THey are all good and healthy and will burn fat. As well as eating healthy, combine with exercise and you will lose the weight healthfully and easily.
For the exercise, don't overdo yourself. Just walking, jogging for 1 hour each day will be more than enough. Rememeber to rest for 1 day of the week. Also, if 1 hour is too long for you, you can BREAK IT DOWN thorughout the day. Nobody said you have to get it all done in one shot, just do some after you wake up, some in the afternoon myabe, and sometime before or after dinner. It's more managaeable that way.
