Warning label on treadmill, "do not use in swimming pool", HOW would y!

Question: Warning label on treadmill, "do not use in swimming pool", HOW would you in the first place?
Answers:

Sometimes companies have to state the obvious as health warnings to protect themselves from potential lawsuits.

Walking whilst you're in water is good exercise because of the resistance and somebody with half a brain cell might think putting a treadmill in water might be a clever idea.

It's the same reason on packets of peanuts it says 'contains nuts' and bottles of milk 'contains milk'. Also, the reason when you buy a new iron, the packaging advises you not to iron clothes whilst they are being worn.

Just laugh and enjoy using your equipment on the safety of dry land.

There are a lot of people in this world and I am sure that at least ONE person did it! Strange warnings usually come about because someone actually DID IT! I do agree with you however! This is like buying a revolver, reading the instructions and finding the following statement in the instruction manual:
"DO NOT LOOK DOWN BARREL WHILE PULLING THE TRIGGER".

When these most unlikely situations occur our protective government demands we be protected (from ourselves) with this kind of warning.

PS: ALL guns are loaded until YOU prove otherwise. Don't take anyones word for it...check yourself!

Some people use exercise bikes in swimming pools, i guess some nut job decided to put their treadmill in, and probably got electrocuted, or broke it :S pretty much, everything that CAN be used in a way that it should not, has to have a sticker or come with instructions, for legal reasons

Oh...so you're NOT supposed to do that? Oohhh snap i never saw that warning. I guess i better go get mine out of the pool. Uggghhh HONEY! WHERE'S THE CRANE?!?!?

Every warning that is on products is because someone did it. Most is common sense like fast food has this product may be hot because people have sued over hot coffee spilling on them

LMAO! Um. Oh god.
Tie a weight to your waist, I guess? And go for a little jog.
You'd have to be clever to try that one out =)

its probably on there because someone has tried to do it. there are a lot of idiots in the world thats why they have to put directions on shampoo
