Burning 500-550 calores per workout?!

Question: Burning 500-550 calores per workout?
I've been dieting for a little over a month now. I eat a salad every day for lunch and a light & fit yogurt. I am 24 years old and weigh around 155-150. I want to lose 10-15 pounds. I started going back to the gym about two weeks ago and try to burn between 500-550 calories per workout. I only drink water and coffee. I don't eat fastfood. Am I on the right track to losing the weight?

Answers:

First you need to calculate how many calories you need to maintain. Look up BMR calculator in Yahoo. Then cut between 500 and 750 calories per day from the number you calculate. This will lose 1 to 1.5 pounds of fat per week. Any more and you start to lose muscle mass, which is hard to gain back.

Up your protein intake from good sources such as tuna, chicken breast, turkey, egg whites. This will help with reducing hunger pangs. Drink plenty of water. Increase fruits and vegetables and cut out processed food. Give yourself a cheat day every two weeks, but don't go crazy.

yes

changing your diet to only healthy foods is the best thing you can do and will ensure you will lose weight if combine with walking everyday especially.

you can eat how much you like if you stay within these 3 guidelines and still lose fat naturally and gradually. You should lose 10lbs each month on average.

1.eat only steamed lean meats, eggs, healthy fruits ,vegetables, nuts, grains, & yogurt..2. drink only water, juice, & milk..3. walk or do some physical exercise 1-3 hour every day.

(btw, recommend you also to buy an electronic food steamer ((Very cheap)) and a rice cooker as makes it very easy to prepare healthy meals ,,add a bit of olive oil and pepper, spices on top of steamed vegeatables, fish or chicken to add more taste if wish as these are healthy too.)

If all you're eating for the day is salad and yogurt then no you're not on the right track. Your body needs food just to keep you alive and more to be able to keep up with the exercise
