A question about today's food and peoples health?!

Question: A question about today's food and peoples health?
It seems in recent decades there has been a big increase in mysterious illnesses like ibs, chronic fatigue syndrome, heart disease, sickness etc. Could it be that the food we eat today is full of ingredients that are not good for you? For thousands of years people ate natural foods, no chocolate bars, no fast food take aways etc. At one time milk would go sour in a few days, but now milk can last quite some time. What are they putting in these foods? Why don't animals get the same kind of sicknesses as humans? Could it be that animals eat more healthy? Let me give you an example...

Suppose someone has 2 bars of chocolate, five days a week, for work. 2 chocolate bars a day doesn't seem much, but that's 10 bars a week, 40 bars a month, 480 bars a year. Bad bacteria loves to feed on sweet foods. And then we have the fatty milk, all the dairy products, the fast foods etc. All these things combined together is just not good. For thousands of years people would not eat these kings of foods. Why is it that in recent decades ibs has incresed and many other mysteries illnesses? Do you believe it is food related?

Answers:

Anything eaten in quantity, on a daily basis is unhealthy. And if you ate chocolate even before bedtime you'd stay awake all night. The US has a nutritional pyramid showing you that you need a variety of foods, a variety of vitamins and minerals to stay healthy. And when they find that something they've put in their vitamin pills doesn't work then they remove it. For instance there used to be a memory pill I think it was called ginko and when it was found not to work then the vitamin makers removed it from the contents of their vitamin pill. Also we have found by researching and testing that we've worn out the soil by continually planting seeds, and also some seeds were made to produce a lot more per bush to feed a continually expanding population, so because they lost the vitamins we as people now have to supplement our diet with vitamins. And thru technology we also know that different nationalities need different things in their diet and that some need more of a certain vitamin than other nationalities.

Mystery illnesses have been caused by lots of things for instance the sensativities of individuals, the changing climate (which brings asthma and allergies), the way we as people do things like wireless everything (from cell phones to telephones to internet connections), the mixture of nationalities, spreading of diseases from one continent to another, the medicines we use, the x-rays that we use, the things we add to our water and food, nuclear problems, [reservatives, tainted water by burying dead animals too close to the water source, etc. I heard once a long time ago that the water we drink has gone thru all humans 10 times, now add to that that in the 1950's and 1960's there were lots of halucangenic drugs out there in the market place as well as different prescription drugs that are now banned but the public was told that if they still had on hand pills they never used that they were supposed to flush that down the toilet, well all those pills are what we humans are digesting in the water we are drinking today (it includes all those birth control pills, and heart medications and etc.).

Sure people ate the natural foods that they grew in their garden and occasionally there were deaths, so that's why there is a department in the US Government to research and inform the public when food is bad. In addition there are corporations that make food who need to market their product, some have by law been approved by the FDA and others have not. The others that weren't could be dangerous. Chronic fatigue from what I understand comes from emotional problems, thyroid conditions come from too little iodized salt in one's diet, heart disease comes from people eating too many fried foods and the cholesterol building up in their arteries, etc. so not all the diseases of today are caused directly from food but some could be the quantity or not of that food. Making food for people to eat isn't as easy as it sounds.

Yes because the New World Order has a conspiracy to have more people with IBS heart disease and chronic fatigue and etc because they have secret ingredients from the frozen lakes of Mars that cause these diseases, but they only work 20% of the time(thats still a lot though, for uncommon thats alot).

Three words: Genetically Modified Organisms.

YEAH ITS A PROCESSED

It's debatable whether there has been a bid increase in these illnesses. It's entirely possible that it could be down to changing attitudes. back in the olden days in wasn't the done thing to complain. People just kept a stiff upper lip and got on with things. For example depression wasn't recognised as a genuine condition until fairly recently yet I think there can be little doubt that it did exist and people were probably suffering with it thousands of years ago although were probably just considered weak and lazy back then. I suspect it could be a similar situation with diseases such as ME.

I was diagnosed with ME last year and personally can't see how it was in any way connected with my diet. Latest research tends to suggest that ME is in fact a genetic condition although this is not in any way confirmed as fact yet. There is other evidnce to suggest that certain food intolerances can be mis-diagnosed as ME. I personally don't believe that ME is connected in any way to diet.

Having said that I do believe that the vast amounts of artificial chemicals added to food these days can't be good for people and may well be responsible for an increase in some conditions such as asthma and other allergies.
