Can someone be nice and help me please?!

Question: Can someone be nice and help me please?
Okay so i am trying to loose weight, and I am over weight. I heard that you cant eat after 7, and you need to stop with fattening food. I cant help this since my mom finishes work at 6:30, and by the time she gets home its like 7:15 and by the time she makes dinner its like 7:45-8. Also some days she feels to tired to make dinner, so we order pizza or wraps. And the days she does make food, she doesn't make it healthy. How can i loose weight with this?
Another question: if i walk 2 miles at around 4MPH will i see changes soon? i am hoping to loose like 30 pounds before summer.
lastly, how can i stay motivated to work out? what can i do on the treadmill? ( i have no tv near the treadmill) :(
Thankyou for your help.

Okay first off well done for wanting to make a change for the better :)
With your meals, there's nothing wrong with eating after 7pm, it's really just eating straight before you go to bed as your body would have no chance to burn up any of the calories.
Why don't you talk to your mum about being healthier? There are lots of healthy recipes which are easy to cook and taste great. Why don't you try cooking? Not only would that mean you could cook healthier things, it would also be a nice treat for your mum to not have to cook all the time.
If you have to order out try getting something less fattening, like ordering a veggie thin base pizza and then making a salad to go with it.
You can also make sure you're healthy during the rest of the day. In the morning have a glass of fruit juice and some cereal with fruit on like cornflakes with a chopped banana or strawberries. Doing this each morning will mean that you've got 2 of your 5 a day out of the way before you've even left the house! For lunch have things like chicken salads or try having some pasta which will fill you up. Have a yogurt with that and another piece of fruit.
Walking will help and after a few weeks you should see changes but don't stick to one form of exercise or it will become less effective. Go walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, playing a sport like basketball, join an aerobics or fitness class there are so many different things you should do.
When on the treadmill try listening to music or propping a book up to read :)
When you feel yourself beginning to lose motivation just think about how great you're going to feel when you've lost some weight. Think, When I've done this I can walk on the beach and feel confident, I can go out with my friends and feel good, I'll be happy with how I look. If I do this I'll be healthier :) Don't be too harsh on yourself if you slip up, just keep on going and keep persevering. If you aren't really that healthy know it'll take a while to break old habits but you will be able to and after a while you'll be able to be healthy without thinking about it :)

Good habits to get into:
1) Don't snack in front of the tv, people always find that when eating in front of the tv they just munch and munch without thinking about it so don't snack endlessly in front of the tv.
2) Try to replace fattier snacks with more healthy things. For instance, replace chocolate bars with low fat cereal bars or fruit.
3) Aim to have your five a day everyday, but don't let yourself get bored by fruit and veg. chop fruit up into a fruit salad, whizz it up into a smoothie, vary what you have, try different veggies and new fruits.
4) BE POSITIVE; all too often people bomb out of diets by thinking, "this is so hard, I can't ever do it, I'm too set in my ways". Everyone can change :) If you slip up move one! If you're feeling down just keeping thinking about how great you'll look and feel when you've lost weight. Keeping positive will keep up motivation and that's all you need to be on your way to a new you!

Really do talk to your mum about it, it's hard to lose weight if you haven't go support form your family and I'm sure she probably wants to be healthy too :) If you both do it together you can have healthier meals too :)

Good luck and hope I helped! :)

Eating right can be a difficult transition. Try not to change everything about your diet at once. Start with one healthy meal a day and build up from there.

As far as exercise is concerned. Try to increase the amount of miles you walk per day. If on a treadmill, add some incline, or try to walk some hilly areas outside.

To keep the treadmill from becoming boring, I get cd's from the library. Either books on cd's or comedy routines that I can listen to. Some people read books/magazines.

It will be hard, but you will have to commit to changing your eating habits. My best advice is to cut out carbs and sugar, drink lots of water, and walk daily on the treadmill. Ask your mom to buy more healthy foods for you, mainly vegetables, fruit, and good protein. Cut out soda completely.

On the treadmill, you can try reading a book. I've even used my computer on the treadmill--I strap it to the base, put on a movie, and walk. It looks hilarious, but it makes the time pass faster!

You really have to totally commit to making a permanent change in your eating habits if you want to succeed. Discuss your goals with your mom and see if you can get her on board to help you meet your goal.

Good luck!

My sister is going through the same situation. But the problem with her was that, when sticking to one programme, she usually gives up too early when she starts to believe that it's not working. However, from a third person perspective, a change DOES occur, but I think if you keep working out and expecting change, what you expect will NEVER be equal to what you get. Because, psychologically, you'll feel like you're putting more effort in than the results you get, so it SEEMS that nothing's working.

So my advice to you is, stick to a meal plan. ONLY eat at so and so time, and NEVER before or after. If you're mom is late, it's not bad to eat one or two pizzas, as long as you've RESTRICTED yourself and it fits within your food plan for the day. Will power is key. And, also, think ahead. If you think or feel that your mom is going to be late, try to buy some healthy food before you come back home from school so that you don't over do yourself, in case you think you've eaten too much the day before, etc.

As for motivation, here's something I told my sister. When you're working out, make sure you think of it as nothing more than what it is. Don't try to expect an outcome (I know this sounds very silly and ironic, but I'm solely speaking on the basis of psychology) and try not to even think about what you're doing and what you're going to achieve by it. Make it as much of a habit as possible, more than it is a chore or an obligation, because, the less you think about it, the more you'll be SURPRISED by change and see things objectively. Plus, subconsciously, you're mind will get used to wanting to exercise without knowing why. If you want to keep your mind busy during workout, try to think about your day, or how to solve a current problem in your life (other than weight loss). Don't expect to SEE change so soon (although others might), because you yourself won't feel it unless the effort of what you feel you put into it is less or equal to what you get out of it, hence why I advised to make it a habit of it.

I hope this helps. :)

hi there, I was having this overweight trouble that it seemed hopeless. I used to take all kinds of pills but nothing seem to work. Until a friend recommended this method, at first I was a bit skeptical but there was nothing to lose and my self esteem was taking a turn for the worse so I felt I needed to tried it out. I saw some results after 2 weeks, but I felt great. After that first drop of weight, which was a real confident booster, I started working on my diet habit to maintain my results. I couldn't be happier. Here's the helpful site: http://www.cyberloseweighttoday.tk

Be a swapper swap more for less. Example instead of having 8 slices of pizza have 4 and whip up a salad it is really quick and easy. Instead of sitting indoors go outdoors.

Sign up for some physical activities which are close to your house and bring along a friend.

When you wake up in the morning lay on your bed and do twenty sit ups. When putting an your shoes sit up on the wall (in a toilet seat position). While eating cereal do jogging with your feet. When brushing teeth do squats.

Other question:

No you will not see much changes walking at 2 miles at around 4mph. crank it up a bit more.

Goodluck
