Is lifting weights good for fat loss?!

Question: Is lifting weights good for fat loss?
With some cardio

Treadmill 15 minutes and 20 minutes of weights

Answers:

Yes. It is very good because the more muscle you have the more fat you burn. Cardio also burns fat but it takes a long time. If you want the best of both worlds, circuit training will allow you to build muscle and burn fat simultaneously. It will also save you a lot of workout time because you'll only need about three 45 minute sessions per week.

Yes for FAT loss. NOT for WEIGHT loss.

Muscle weights more than fat does. You will lose fat, but the muscle you put on will weight more and see that your putting on more weight when your actually not.

I would do 45-50 minutes of weights and 10-15 minutes of cardio. Cardio will make you lean out, which burns off fat. If you have no fat, then it will burn the muscle you have. So cardio is not always good.

Cardio is good for the weight loss and the weights will help just fine. Remember that to burn fat the secret is repetitions. So, lower weights, lots of reps, and the fat goes away.

Get a bit more cardio in there and you will be doing well. Having more muscle increases your metabolic rate, so means you burn more calories when your just sitting still.

Yes. But you have to stick with the cardio as well. Lifting weights will cause your body to burn more calories than doing cardio alone.

Yes very good!!

yes
