Answers:

take your clothes off and look at yourself in the mirror.
And remember to think before you bite into --whatever it is you're going to feel guilty about later--think about tomorrow and if you'll remember NOT eating it.

First its clearly establishing why you want to lose weight unfortunately vanity (which we all have) is not always strong enough of a reason so if you really don't need to lose that weight or you are only slightly overweight you might want to consider adapting a few more healthy lifestyle habits and accepting the body you have now. Weight loss doesn't make you happy, you think dropping a couple pounds will make you look fabulous and you will suddenly be beaming with confidence but confidence doesn't come from external factors not real confidence and the moment you have a bade day you will revert to the behavior that piled on the extra pounds to start. If you want to lose set reasonable goals don't push for a fast weight-loss where you exercise hours a day and practically starve yourself you won't be able to keep that pace up for life and this is a permanent lifestyle change a simple diet won't work not for long if you just want to look good for a short period then maybe but its not good for health or metabolism to yoyo up and down with weight.

Plan an exercise routine that fits with your life, it will take adjustment but if you are realistic you will stick with it and later may come to enjoy it such that you make more time for exercise. I think it helps if you just increase activity walking more places, taking stairs, getting up from the TV and computer periodically, scheduling outdoors activities with friends like sports, or taking up a martial art or something you truly have interest in, don't choose running if you despise it. Some people like to have a workout buddy, myself I enjoy the alone time so see what you prefer. Make gradual dietary changes if you drink soda you could start simply by cutting that out or lowering intake guaranteed you'll lose weight from just that one change. Smaller changes are easier to digest and moderation works best. You can have the things you love just reduce frequency and portion. If you love sweets don't have them everyday but allow yourself something sweet, full fat and delicious but in a controlled amount it may be that you can't keep sweets at home without pigging out that's okay go to a bakery and split dessert with someone and make it special. Or go to the bakery and buy one small thing you love and not like a whole box of something. If you drink alcohol too reducing that would really help. For some people eating several small meals prevents them from feeling hungry and binging, having regular meal times if possible is good too, and planning in advance for food and exercise when you go on vacation. Almost always my husband and I choose to stay in places we can cook because I get sick from eating out nonstop, we still eat out but not every single meal and you can eat out in a good way. Portion sizes in restaurants are almost always at least double what they need to be. If you eat a lot of meat, cut down and try to have vegetable dishes sometimes. I assure you unless you actually are a professional training athlete or a burn victim or otherwise severely injured you don't need extra protein when exercising because probably if you are typical American or from Europe you get more than you even need. Switching to food with more fiber helps you feel full and staying hydrated is good since its common to mistake thirst for hunger, with that in mind if you think you are hungry try a glass of water first. Don't skip meals and please don't think you have to eat nothing but bland food or salads you won't stick to it. Learn to cook, buy recipe books get adventurous in the kitchen, try new foods, keep your diet as varied as possible so you don't get bored, shoot for 100 different foods a week. Buy some spices a lot of people really just have like salt, pepper, and basil but you'd be missing out. Try different ways too cook don't like mushy veggies? I hate them, try lightly stir-fried or raw and so you know there are techniques for ridding veggies of that bitter flavor. Learning to cook will help you select better ingredients and help you learn how to bring out the most in flavor. You should enjoy eating. Don't eat till you are totally stuffed, eat till you are like 80% full it takes time for you to realize you are full if you tend to shovel in food without tasting. Try not to eat mindlessly in front of the television. Always have healthy snacks on hand and quick meals (like you make a batch of something and freeze) so if you get to starving point you've got a quick fix that's not fastfood. Don't grocery shop hungry! You will go broke and end up with a lot crap you don't need. Examine the reasons you eat aside from hunger and the situations that provoke you into over-eating you have to find healthy alternatives to deal with emotional pain, anger, stress and so forth.

(Best Answer please) hi Ralph, I know what you mean. I had a similar case with having a M.O to do some thing. This case was not losing weight but to gain more muscle mass. What I do might sound stupid but it works. I get a bunch of ROcky songs and download them to my iTunes and listen to them. "Eye of the Tiger" is the best. That's to the music part when your in the gym. For the home part you can start by throwing away all junk food and only eat a high protein and carb diet such as whole wheat food and replacing sodas with water. If your diet is not the issue let's bring it the room. Have a white poster or a calendar and mark the days left you have to go. If that fails have a gym buddy to come or call to you to meet up to go to the gym. I have a gym Buddie and we have dates to go to the gym. If one gets lazy we punk each other and hype it up. I'm pretty sure you have friends that can do that. Other than that I know you can do it. Personally I know it's going to be hard. Nothing in life is easy. You somethings have to fight for what you want and fight for that you have already. It all depends if you have the eye of the tiger :D

Let me end with a quote "To become more, you have to be more" ~J.R

I always look at pictures of people in great shape and think that could be me.
