Eat helathy: eat 3 whole meals a day. FOr your meals, you want something helahtly and that fills you up so that you don't get hungry again for a long time. You need to also make healthy choices like eating whole wheat bread or whole grain bread instead of white bread and brown rice instead of white rice. Cut all junk food. They are bad for you and cause weight gain fast. Cut fast food as well! If you get hungry in between your 3 meals, eat a piece of fruit/vegetable, low-fat yogurt, skim milk, or fruit juice. THey are all good and healthy and will burn fat. As well as eating healthy, combine with exercise and you will lose the weight healthfully and easily.
For the exercise, don't overdo yourself. Just walking, jogging for 1 hour each day will be more than enough. Rememeber to rest for 1 day of the week. Also, if 1 hour is too long for you, you can BREAK IT DOWN thorughout the day. Nobody said you have to get it all done in one shot, just do some after you wake up, some in the afternoon myabe, and sometime before or after dinner. It's more managaeable that way.
eat healthy and exercise is the golden rule of losing weight. Good luck hun :)

your generalizing. You need to eat a sensible diet, you can't let your body starve too often, or too much, or your metabolism might decide to slow down, if it think it's in your best interest long term. But you have to really be missing a meals on a regular basis, or barely eating to cause this. So don't let this trip you out. Why isn't exercise an option for you ? Sorry to get personal, if it's a disability issue, but it's the key to losing weight. You can still lose by dieting, but it won't be nearly as easy, if you could just walk once a day, or do some arm exercises or something. Focus on the real quality of your nutrition, learn about the foods you eat, and what they do in the body, don't go by the standard figurings of most, of what is and isn't healthy.

Im a registered kinesiologist not specialized with gaining and losing weight but i can offer the best of my learning. if you dont eat your metabolism slows down and any food you do eat the body kind of panics and automatically stores the food as fat that is why not eating or eating very little doesnt work or it works and then will gain it all back. The "normal" guideline amounts are for "normal" metabolisms. Have you ever got your thyroid checked? that could play a part. As for exercise it doesnt have to be going to the gym it can be as effective to start with what ever you can you say it isnt an option for you i wonder why? but thats not my business. exercise can be even sitting on the couch and lifting your leg up and down or hold it as straight as you can, exercise could also be twisting your body from side to side exercise doent have to be running and lifting weights i would encourage you to talk to a nutritionist for the food part ive done it and portion sizes of the different food groups surprised me and as for the exercise part there are kinesiologist and occupation therapist that come to your home they can give you more ideas.
hope i helped a little

Why is exercise not an option? Exercise is always an option. If you start out with a closed mind, you may never get healthy.

Eat several small meals of healthy food. Cut out all sugary drinks, diet drinks, and fast food. There's no magic pill or complicated science. You know what is healthy and what isn't.

Start moving your body. It doesn't have to be much, just start taking walks, lifting small weights, doing sit-ups, pick up sticks in the yard. It doesn't matter what you do. Move your body so it can start building muscle. Muscle burns calories and increases your metabolism.

It's not impossible, but you have to actually do it. You have to dedicate yourself to a plan and then stick with it. If you stick with it, you will see results.

Well if excercise isn't an option it will be hard to loose weight! They come hand and hand, you need a healthy eating plan and to excercise for at least and hour a day! If you eat in smaller portions and avoid fast food, cookies, candy, etc you'll see a diffrence! Also never eat fried foods! Stick to grilled stuff and eat lots of fruits & veggies!

I am not a healthy person, I drink, smoke and eat chocolate way too much. The answer? Have jalapenos with every single cooked meal, it speeds up your metabolism like nothing else will. If you're not good with spicy food, take it slowly, but I promise you it will work. Of course the occasional workout won't hurt either.

i hate excuses like that, if you were truly willing to lose weight, you would not say '' exercise isn't an option''. you should change the question to, '' i think it would be convenient to lose weight ''

come on man, get your head in the game
just don't starve yourself, don't eat like a pig, excersize and your fine. i dont see anything difficult... no problem here

Don't eat convenience food there's a lot of stuff in them which will put weight on you, eat only freshly prepared foods, fresh meat, fruit and veg and everything in moderation, no second helpings, EVER

you can try to do some Bhakti

Eat less, exercise more.

I've been on a diet for just under 2 months now and i've lost about a stone. This is the ONLY diet that i've actually kept at and believe me i've been on numerous diets before. Why has this diet worked for me?... I obviously did my research on losing weight, what to eat, how much to eat and blah blah blah... Knowing all that really helps but losing weight is a complete psychological process. I first accepted that i wasn’t going to lose all the weight in a week or two –it’s gonna take some time and you have to come to terms with that. However, i have been exercising everyday for an hour or so and have been consuming accordingly.
I eat every 3-4 hours and make sure that i eat healthy nutritious foods. You're diet should have a balance of proteins fibres and compex carbs. Drink A LOT of water and replace coffee with green tea. I seriously hated green tea before this diet but i really enjoy it now and drink it alteast 2-3 times a day.
The most important thing is to only eat until your satisfied, not full. When you feel like you’ve had enough to eat, don’t eat anymore, and your stomach will get use to eating less, but frequently. If you feel hungry after an hour or so, snack on something low in calories until your next meal. You should have your three main meals with small snacks in between, so your metabolism doesn’t slow down.
If it’s physically not possible for you to exercise then you should focus on your diet, but if it’s because it’s time consuming, you should find a way to fit it in to your day-to-day life. You will see results quicker and it’s really good for your body and mind. Trust me this is coming from someone who HATES exercise! But i force myself to do it and i feel great after a workout.
If like you said it’s really hard for you to lose weight, then you are clearly not doing it right! Speak to your doctor about losing weight and he/she will help get a diet plan for you depending on your age, weight and physical condition. Good Luck!
