I feel so bad for eating a cheese burger, what should i do?!

Question: I feel so bad for eating a cheese burger, what should i do?
im 13
I ain't no vegan or anything like that

I haven't been eating very much ( if at all)- about a slice of bread and endless glasses of water for about a month
i had to go out for a family meal. my mom chose me a burger but i didn't want it, but she doesn't understand so i didn't say anything. i tried a small crumb of bread on the top, i couldn't hide the burger so she thought id eaten it nor could i throw it away or anything like that. so i had to eat it. now i feel so bad and fat iv'e been exercising for the past hour and a half to burn off most of the calories. i haven't eaten anything since cause ive eaten like 3 days worth of calories in one meal. ive tried making myself sick and like i said ive been exercising. i feel so bad and that ive let myself down

Is there anything else i can try to get rid off all the calories?

Answers:

I can SOooo relate. I'm 13 & my parents always make me eat because I used to stiff my dinner into napkins & skip lunch. But don't worry. You won't gain weight from one meal. When I eat too much I go to the bathroom ALOT & exercise ( like you. ) Yesterday I did over 6,000 jumping jacks. Try exercising all night when your family falls asleep. Email me if you need to talk because I feel for you. :)

Go to a competitive swimming practice session and practice with the older kids. Competitive swimming burns the most calories of any sport.

You seriously need to tell someone about this as what you are doing isn't good for you. Please get some help with this.

don't feel bad its fine you should try to burn it off with exercise

While I don't recommend eating 200 calories a day, the most important thing to remember is this: one meal won't kill you. What WILL kill you, however, is feeling despair and overeating because you feel like you've lost. Been there, done that.

If you ever overeat, just exercise afterwards. Don't skip meals, that does *not* help you lose weight! Also, don't try throwing up-it'll rot out your teeth and cause serious health issues.

If you feel you need to lose weight, at least you've shown you have discipline! Remember, eat slowly and try a balanced diet-fruits and vegetables, as I'm sure you know, work fabulously.

You know you're not going to lose ANY weight like that? By now your metabolism must be so low, you're not going to lose weight for the rest of your life if you carry on like this. I know your 13, but are you stupid? Obviously 200 calories is not enough! Do you want to know how to lose weight?
Keep in mind that if you’re trying to lose weight, the only way to do so is to create a calorie deficit (meaning your body uses more calories in one day than it takes in.) A lot of people think that this means you have to do exercise to burn off all the calories you’ve eaten in a day. This isn’t true. Your body burns a lot of calories during the day, even if you’re just screwing around on Yahoo answers all day. : )

So how many calories does your body burn during the day? Everyone is different, but you can use some tools to get an idea. To find out, start by calculating your BMR (basal metabolic rate.) here: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calcul…
For example, at my current weight my BMR is 1419. This means that even if I was in a coma, I’d still burn 1419 calories a day.

Next, take your BMR and use the Harris Benedict Equation (here: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calcul… ) to figure out how many calories you actually burn (you aren’t in a coma, right?) Sticking with my example, this equation tells me that I actually burn around 1951 calories a day. So, theoretically, all I have to do to lose weight is eat less than 1951 calories a day.

It takes 3500 calories to make a pound of fat, so to lose a pound that means I have to create a calorie deficit of 3500 calories. So if I eat 1451 calories a day, I’ll be creating a calorie deficit of 500 calories a day which would equal one pound lost a week.

Isn’t math fun? : )
