Question: I want to lose weight. How many times should i..?
How many times should I walk on my treadmill a week if i want to loose 10 lbs?
i don't care how long it takes. im not looking for it to be super fast.
but i'm 5'3 and around 180 lbs.
ik about the food/diet and stuff
im just down to the exercise part.

Contrary to what someone above wrote, I would suggest NOT RUNNING. Running is not good for your body when you are lean much less when you are overweight. It's hard on your knees, ankles, back and other areas. Not to mention it jars around your organs.

However, if you aren't going to worry about your diet you need to exercise A LOT. I'd suggest walking at a pace of at least 3.0 MPH for no less than an hour but I would recommend two hours a day. Now if you were going to eat a fairly healthy diet then an hour would be fine. Don't forget to tone as well as do cardio.



walking will take a lot longer; its the effort that you put in it will make a huge difference on whether or not you lose weight (aka fat). on average we could lose 2 or 3 pounds of fat (but gain muscle) by exercising 3 to 5 times a week and resting between the days. you won't really see the results until a roughly 6 week period has pass. my suggestion is to; warm up for 10mins, jog on the treadmill 30mins (or walk - 1 hour, or run for 15mins) but you can go longer than great even better but 3 to 5 times a week and also try doing other resistance work outs cause that will help to build up endurance, inner strength, core, and it'll tone you up completely. its difficult but not impossible. if you want me to, just send me a personal message and i can send you a list on resistance work outs that are easy to do but very effective.

it depends on if your running or walking on the treadmill. but there are roughly 3,500 calories in a pound. in the link i added along with this post there is a formula at the bottom of the page you can use to try and calculate how long you need to walk/run to lose the weight

its not healthy for a 5'3 girl to be 180. if u were taller then its a differant story. but i do have experience with weight lose and i would say just stay focused to ur diet. and i would say dont walk on a tredmill. run on it. it will help.
