17yo losing weight? need support?!


Question: 17yo losing weight? need support?
.. Im really looking for help losing weight, seriously. I'm 17, about 165 lbs, and 5'9. I'm borderline depressed over my weight because I'm constanly surrounded by people with six packs and flat abs, and it sucks. I feel insecure. Since I started gaining weight... I lost most of my friends (mainly because of my insecurites), so I have nobody to talk to for support, not even my mother (she works 12 hours a day, and dosent have time for 'small talks'). I need somebody to talk to honestly about my depression, losing weight, and my struggles. I just want to talk to somebody in my same situation.

If you know anybody, (forums, chatrooms), or even you. Please let me know, I'm ready to lose weight but I need support.

It's all about taking it bit-by-bit...try not to see it in the big picture but keep the big picture in mind as the ultimate goal. When you think about the big picture too quickly you get overwhelmed by thinking it is too dificult. Everything in life cna be conquered if you take it in tiny portions.

I actually had the reverse problem...i was always really skinny and wanted to be buff. Since i had no clue how i just kept the goal in mind and started to take it a bit at a time and encourage myself each and every day. It seems to take the mind about 1-2 weeks to get into a habit and from their it gets so into it that when you stop the routine you get depressed. It took me 2 months to really notice a difference in muscle tone and weight (from 130lbs to 182 @ 5'10). Now working out is so much fun for me...i guess it also helps in my profession since i sell appearance and my physique is part of the sell to patients.
