Loosing baby weight. please help, im desperate.?!

Question: Loosing baby weight. please help, im desperate.?
I am 24 and 5'3". I had a baby a year ago and I had an iud put in afterwards and since then I have gained 20lbs. Its not from overeating or anything like that, its from this stupid iud. I barely eat anything, like I MAY take in 500 to 800 calories a day and I exercise 3/4 days a week.I am at a loss as to what to do. I can't get below 173 no matter what I do. Does anyone (esp if you've had this problem) no how to get rid of this weight. What am I doing wrong? I get this iud removed in a week and a half so after its out what would be the quickest way to loose this baby belly? I don't eat fatty foods, drink sodas, or alcohol. Rarely drink juice, mostly water, water with lemon juice and like a glass of milk in the morning. I know this seems like a lot but I figure there has to be someone out there that can help me get back to my prepregnancy weight.

Answers:

your baby weight is in your stomach. doing cardio and limiting calorie intake will burn off a significant amount of fat, but will consistently target your body as a whole, without targeting the fat you want to lose in your belly.
isolate what you burn, and do some ab exercise, which will build a little muscle but more importantly will burn off more of that stomach fat

Do you have in Paraguard or Mirena? I have in Paraguard (no hormones) and my have not gained.

I know it sounds counter-productive but you NEED to eat more than 800 calories per day, just of the right foods. At least 1,300-1,400 calories per day. Your body needs to energy to lose weight.

Do lots of whole body resistance training (3-4 days/week) and high intensity cardio (5-6 days/week).

Also, remember that your body will never be back to it's pre-pregnancy shape, usually.

Good luck! You can do it!

EDIT:

Hence why I said "usually" following "your body will never be back to it's pre-pregnancy shape". Sure, a lot of women are smaller following the birth of a child, but many women have slightly wider hips, and "baby pooches" that can be seemingly impossible to get rid of. I didn't say it's impossible.

^^Not true. Many women I know that have kids look exactly the way they did before, if not better!

But I know how you feel. I was 125-130 before I had my son 2 years ago. And I'm 155 now.
Cardio, Cardio, Cardio.
Sweat your butt off.
I'm working out 2 times daily, once in the morning, and once at night before bed.
And eating 1200 calories a day.
No pop, no junk food.

If you're only getting 800 calories a day, that might be why you're not losing. Your body might be storing fat because its in starvation mode.

Try upping your calories to 1000-1200, and see if that helps.
If not, try adding more cardio.
