I'm in high school how can I put on some muscle?!


Question: I'm in high school how can I put on some muscle?
I'm 6 feet 154lbs just started lifting 3 weeks ago resting every 3rd day targeting both upper and lower body both days. I drink whey protien after every work out as well. I'm not really noticing any improvement to my body... What are some tips?
***I want to stay athletic... Not just have a bulky body builder body***

listen to what you said., 'you started 3 weeks ago'. are you insane? how can you expect immediate results. it takes minimum 3 montsh to see major results in the weight room. you will see in both hthe amount you liift as well as on the scale. to see your results dnt just lok in the mirror, make sure to check how much you are lifitng as well as how much you are wegihting and to oversee these changes when they occur. the difference in how you look is harder to notice, unless of course you take pictures of yourself dayd to day, which still wouldnt necesarily help since your body gets larger within a couple hours of exercise due to blood inflamation

eat a high protein diet, don't eat carbs after 6pm and just be patient.
