how many calories a day should i burn on an excercise bike to lose fat?!


Question: How many calories a day should i burn on an excercise bike to lose fat?
how much is too little- how much is too much?

lets assume i eat *im male* about 1600calories a day, and my BMR is 1980 .
how many calories should i burn on the excercise bike, i burn on average about 800 a day or more. every day, on the excercise bike, is that enough? *over 3hours of excercise bike each day*

That is wayyyyy too much.....
cardio done for more than 1 hour puts you at a risk of muscle catabolism and hence metabolic slowdown causing your BMR to drop making it harder to burn fat....
I suggest you do 45 minutes of cycling at moderate intensity 6 days a week. And as far as your BMR is conserned, its the amount you should eat in case all you do is lie down on a sofa all the day.Your calories needs are more than your BMR depending upon your acitivity level. 1 being sedentry and around 1.7 being very active. What you eat is as important as how much you eat.
