Where is the waist line?!
Question: Where is the waist line?
I have that kind of body shape but my belly button isn't where it shows they are measuring. It is about two to four inches lower. Myplate says: "Waist: Measure a half-inch above your belly button, or at the smallest part of your waist." So would I follow the smallest part of my waist then? I have also heard elbows fall when standing straight up and that would be at the line 3-4 inches above my belly button.
Another friend said she thinks my belly button may be sagging due to losing weight and my skin is hanging (ew).
Answers:
If your stomach is pendulous,
your waist-line is half-way between your lowest ribs & highest point of your pelvic bone (hip).
measure RIGHT above the belly button, only like half an inch above.
tie a string around it, not to tight, but not to ose either, and then measure that string.
good luck hon and congradz on any weightloss!!
for men around the belly button, women at the smallest part which is either at the belly button or a little bit above. it varies.
Your natural waistline is the narrowest part of your stomach which typically is around your bellybutton
I say place your hands sound your hips, at the point where your hands can almost touch, thats the waistline.
