Question: How to loose weight quickly?
Okay, so I'm trying to loose weight. What are some good snacks and foods I should eat to loose weight? My goal is to loose at least 20 pounds at the end of May. How many minutes should i exercise? What kinds of exercises should I do? Please help, I really need to loose some weight. Write down anything that helps below. From, what to drink? What kinds of food should I eat? What kind's of exercises? and How many minutes! btw . I'm going into high school next year, and i want to be fit.

You shouldn't aim to lose more then 2 pounds per week--it becomes unsafe for your body. I'd recommend cardio, it's excellent for burning fat. I run two miles a day, but if you're not used to exercise start with a mile and then increase speed, and then distance. You also want to do muscle building exercises to improve appearance, such as arm curls with free weights, lunges with free weights in hand, squats, and crunches. For abs, which is one thing most of our population focuses on, you should do 3 sets of 25 regular crunches at least once a day (I do twice) and then reverse crunches and side crunches as well. All of these exercises mentioned can be looked up on the internet if you're unsure of what they are. You should exercises 4-5 times a week, I'd say. I'd also recommend cutting out any drinks really, other then water. It can make a huge difference. Drink lots and lots of water, it helps clean out your system and helps weight loss (especially at first.) Make sure you eat lots of fruits and vegetables, but not vegetables smothered in sauces and butter. Protein is also important when you're working out regularly. You want lean meats, so more chicken and turkey then beef. Beef is often really fatty. Also, limit your sugars definitely. I also use the website www.sparkpeople.com. You can monitor your calorie intake versus what you should be eating in order to lose weight, and you can also input exercises completed into the website to monitor calorie loss. Whatever you do, lose weight the healthy way! Crash dieting will not help in the end. You will put the weight back on instantly. Weight loss is a wonderful life change :) best of luck!

I read diet books, I'm on a diet and I exercise 5 days/week. I've lost 15 pounds in three months :) (i was in an upper-healthy range to begin with, though.)



Hi! First of all, please don't try to loose weight quickly, you will just gain it back. You need to change your eating habits. Start with changing one thing at a time. As for the exercise, start walking, even 20 minutes a day will help, you can then increase the time once you are use to it. Drink lots of water, if you get a craving for something, drink a glass of water before you eat it, you won't be as hungry. You should eat lots of veggies, you can eat as much as you want. Fruit as well but not so much as it has sugar in it. You can cut up some veggies and have them ready in a container so when you get the urge to eat, they are ready. You can buy a low fat dressing and dip them in that..yummy! So lots of veggies, and for meat chicken is good, without the skin, doesn't have much fat. You can make a great salad and have a chicken breast for dinner. Good luck to you! I am sure if you start slow and change your eating habits the weight will fall off.



Just lose weight the right way. If you lose weight fast you are more likely to put that weight back on. Try to enjoy the process of losing weight and appreciate the small wins.

Avoid SUGAR and greasy foods. Eat more chicken instead of beef. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Do not crash diet. Watch your portions and let yourself slip once a week and eat a food you like but then get back on track.

Exercise for 30 minutes a day doing anything. Walk, run, do yoga, pilates, play basketball, soccer, just do something for 30 minutes. The specific exercise is not important as long as you are active and you start to sweat. There is no right exercise or right amount of time for everybody. Dance! Have fun.

If you're willing to read, the Cardio Free Diet by Jim Karas helped me to lose 50 lbs in about 3 1/2 to 4 months. I only used his workout plan, though, (not the actual diet) because I needed to lose the weight fast. Instead I ate absolutely no grains or beans, no sweets, no soda... ONLY protein and green veggies. Nothing orange red brown or yellow. Green veggies only. As far as drinks, I would give myself a weekly reward, one day when I could drink 1 soda or have a shake, or a chocolate bar or something, but I would have to choose one. You may not want to go as drastic as I did, but it worked, and even when I resumed to less restrictive eating habits, I did not blow back up because due to the workouts, I built lean muscle mass, which actually sped up my metabolism and burns fat. CAUTION: you will need either resistant bands or dumbells, but that's it, and the exercises when done right only take about 30 min a day, 3 days a week.
