Answers:

Doing 100 situps over and over again might possibly work but it is a waste of time. Try doing sit ups that involve lots of bodily movement. P90X ab ripper X is a great ab exercise and you can probably find it on YouTube.

If you want nice abs you need to work on avoiding fatty foods. If you want it for core strength then do a lot of leg exercise such as squats and try including something like Yoga or Pilates into your workout.

60 in a minute is a good number. But situps by themself are poor core conditioning. Like someone mentioned try the Ab Ripper X workout from P90X. Its a great core workout. If you are unable to obtain it try implementing some other exercises into your core workout. Such as planks, side planks, oblique crunches, leg raises (hold for as long as possible, at least 60 seconds), bicycle crunches, russian twist etc.

A good core workout is:
1. Plank: 3 sets of 2 minutes (this may be difficult at first, work up to two minutes then hold it longer as your core gets stronger) (60 seconds rest between sets)
2. Leg Raises: 3 sets of 90 seconds (same as above) (45 seconds rest between sets)
3. Oblique Crunches 5 sets until failure (try to do at least 30 each side) (30 seconds rest between sets)
If you find this workout to be to easy add some exercises, lessen the amount of rest, or increase the number of sets.

Note: You shouldn't work your core everyday, try to allow 24-48 hours between workouts to allow your muscles to recover. This results in alot better gains than training everyday. Try working your core Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday, Thursday or Monday, Friday. Whatever works best for you.

Good luck with your boxing!

If you're set on situps then do as many as you can until you feel the burn pretty intensely. Stop. Rest 15 seconds and repeat. Do 5 sets of this.
However, for more "bang for your buck" do some cross-training of your abs with varied exercises.

personal experience

me too I do about 10 reps of 40 but divided between the day sometimes at the the same time up to you will you answer one of my questions

Don't do sit ups, do crunches, and leg raises. Sit-ups don't work the muscle right, and risk back injury.
