Answers:

You are not eating enough, nor eating the right combinations of food.

Cut out as much sugar as possible, and minimize your net-carb intake, since those are the sole dietary triggers to body fat weight gain, as well as a host of chronic health conditions Your main source of carbs daily should be LOTS OF DIFFERENT VEGGIES, along with some nuts (or all-natural nut butter plain w/spoon) and a daily serving of whole grains like oatmeal or brown rice (I prefer non-gluten whole grains myself, which is why I mentioned those). In pretty much any dietary scenario, you are better off replacing a sugar-heavy piece of whole fruit with a fresh, healthy veggie choice instead.

Oh, and low-fat diets are extremely unhealthy and promote weight gain, obesity and a lot of chronic health conditions. Natural fats (even saturated) ARE GOOD FOR YOU, promote a lean body, and allow your body to properly process many nutrients that otherwise goes to waste in the absence of healthy fat intake.

The best way to eat, in order to be healthy and lean is to eat plenty of different veggies daily, enough quality protein, and a good amount of healthy natural fats. The least consumed things should be sugars and excessive net-carbohydrates. The only fats you have to avoid are the mutated, altered ones like all hydrogenated fats/oils, homogenized (dairy) fats, and the overly refined/rancid fats/oils found in most processed foods. Examples of healthy fats are almonds/nuts, eggs (yolk and all), coconut milk/oil. olive oils, unprocessed meats, etc.

Cut out sugary foods or drinks.
