Trying to lose weight, how does my food intake for today sound?!

Question: Trying to lose weight, how does my food intake for today sound?
Breakfast - Fiber 1 bar (90 calories)

Lunch - Half a cheese quesadilla w/ sour cream + salsa, and 1 beef taco

Snack - Banana

Dinner - PB & J sandwich

Snack - Apple + Bag of Popcorn

It's about 7 pm and I'm done eating for the day. How does this sound?

Answers:

Well it would be better if it was more balanced. For example, you missed the opportunity to have veggies at lunch. And no, salsa does not count. You also missed another opportunity to have veggies again at dinner. You also seem to have eaten alot of fat, cheese, sour cream, and peanut butter. If you want to eat healthy, and still lose weight, try adding more veggies, decrease the amount of fat and refined foods like your taco and tortilla. Instead, try having some fish with a side of green veggies for dinner and a green salad with light or fat free dressing for lunch. Good luck.

I am a long term dieter and what you have ate is full of cat and sugar, where is the protein, vitamins and carbs? :ast year i was diagnosed as type 2 diabetic and have to stick to a healthy diet and have lost 14lbs and this is a part of my daily menu but your breakfast is ok and snack but dinner is very high in calories with the cheese which is high in fat and the sour cream and jam and your snack of popcorn are all unnecessary calories

Breakfast - Boiled egg on toast or low fat cereal or oats, tea/coffee/juice
Lunch - Baked potato with beans and side salad or chicken and salad sandwich or soup with bread, tea/coffee
Dinner - Chicken or fish or pasta with potato and lots of veg. fruit tea/coffee

If i am still hungry between meals I can have homemade soup or fruit but not a lot of bananas as they are high in carbs and calories.

that is very good. You wil lose weight very easily.

Good.
