I need to get motivated, but how?!

Question: I need to get motivated, but how?
I can't motivate myself to exercise, at all.

My mum even said she'd buy me a brand new wardrobe full of clothes if I lost weight and became confident with myself, which I just can't do. Nobody helps me though, my dad jokingly always calls me fat & I know he's joking, but it still upsets me quite a bit, because I know I am even if I get told I'm not! I have some tummy fat and it sticks out and makes me so self concious, I have big thighs but their more muscular than fat, I just need to tone them up, and I want to tone my arms up too.

I don't know how though, I can't go running, I can't go to the gym because my mum refuses to pay for it, I can't exercise in my house because I'm just TOO self concious about myself, about people laughing at me. I tried doing an exercise DVD and all I could hear was laughing in my head, the feeling of people laughing at me really upsets me and just puts me off doing it.

What can I do to overcome it? I really want to change and be motivated, but I just can't.

P.s - No stupid answers like "Just don't eat as much food, you don't need to exercise" because I've tried starving myself, it doesn't work and I barely eat as it is.

My answer's long, brace yourself! lol

OK, I went through this situation before. One, I don't EVER think, even in a joking manner to call someone who is overweight, fat. It still hurts. BUT! You say you're self conscious about your stomach, right? OK, LOOK AT YOURSELF IN THE MIROR NAKED. (I KNOW, IT'S AKWARD but trust me) The only way you're going to lose that is either by getting surgery (which not many people can afford nowadays, and exercising.) Do you believe that you can lose weight? If you tried very hard to stick with exercising. (I'm not talking about doing an exercising DVD 2 times or walking for 10 min. a day) That's not trying........when you exercise, you have to play drill sarg on yourself. When you feel like you're getting tired of working out......think about how bad you feel because of your weight. And THEN tell yourself that you're tired of feeling that way about yourself.........the only way to stop feeling like that IS to exercise......you're body won't be used to it...at first...but force your body to press on. Will power. =)

and also, who cares if some else is laughing at you while you're working out..........While, they're sitting back laughing at you, they could be trying to take better care of themselves how you're trying to. As far as those voices in your head, well, you're just going to have to overcome that too. Personal Doubt exists in every minds. And biblically, the flesh is ALWAYS fighting with spirit. Beat your body into submission. When you feel like going for those chicken nuggets, STOP! And think, what's a healthier alternative? If you're not a vegetarian like me, you might want to consider a a salad with grilled chicken, easy on the dressing.

Oh, and you don't NEED a gym membership to lose weight. (Just saying) =) Some people would prefer the gym. I know, my sister does, but when she couldn't afford the membership some months, that didn't stop her, she just went to the local track and started walking and eventually, when she got stronger and healthier, she found herself running.

It all takes willpower, love, and I say, if you're determined enough to lose the weight, you'll do it. Sorry My answer was so long, but I was exactly in your situation, and I know it's no picnic.

Tai Chi exercise is better for you. You can do it referring some Tai Chi books or CD/DVD It is simple and good. No body can motivate you except yourself. Dieting is not advisable, but change your diet.
You may search Tai Chi in web. ( google or yahoo)

These are the things you should care of:
Eat healthy: eat 3 whole meals a day. For your meals, you want something healthy and that fills you up so that you don't get hungry again for a long time. You need to also make healthy choices like eating whole wheat bread or whole grain bread instead of white bread and brown rice instead of white rice. Cut all junk food. They are bad for you and cause weight gain fast. Cut fast food as well! If you get hungry in between your 3 meals, eat a piece of fruit/vegetable, low-fat yogurt, skim milk, or fruit juice. THey are all good and healthy and will burn fat. As well as eating healthy, combine with exercise and you will lose the weight healthfully and easily. Diets don't work in the long run. When you consume too little, or deprive yourself of certain foods, you are also not getting the essential nutrients. That's why everyone gain the weight back and more in diets. Diet's are a plan for fail. INstead, just focus on eating healthy. You will feel better, look better, and perform better. Opt for a healthy lifestyle, not a fad diet. that's how you lose weight and keep it off for good.

For the exercise, don't overdo yourself. Just walking, jogging for 1 hour each day will be more than enough. Rememeber to rest for 1 day of the week. Also, if 1 hour is too long for you, you can BREAK IT DOWN thorughout the day. Nobody said you have to get it all done in one shot, just do some after you wake up, some in the afternoon myabe, and sometime before or after dinner. It's more managaeable that way. Walking, jogging, running or swimming are aerobic/cardio exercises and they burn the most calories and fat. They will make you strengthen or build your muscle and keep you burning more calories and fat.
eat healthy and exercise is the golden rule of losing weight. Good luck hun :)

The answer to motivation is

1-Do not to get into too strenuous exercise. Smooth and controlled workout tend to burn a lot more fat than the jittery actions you find in gyms and ads.

2-The second is not to have premeditated number of reps as this is the main key to quitting. Just keep going as long as your muscles allow you to.

That is for motivation. But then you must also have a diet program that complements your workout and keeps away from the danger of burning muscles. Particularly, you must keep up your protein supply.

But you probably know this already.

I actually learnt all this through http://www.burnfatsafelysoon.blogspot.com. Was all new to me.

ok 1, tell your dad how you feel about it jokes are jokes but still effect your self esteem
2. if you want motivisation then try putting pictures of how you want to look like up i do this and every morning it reminds me of my goal
3. atually set a goal you will never be satisfied just saying i want to loose weight because you never fufill it because you can always loose weight set an actuall realistic amount in a realistic time frame i.e loose 5 pound in 3 weeks then 10 pound and so on
4. if you are self concious about how you look and cant go running then try workout in your room by a workout dvd or look on youtube make your own workout jumping jack, squats, jog on spot ect for 30 mins a day
5. get a bike and go early in the morning
