Why am I not losing weight?!

Question: Why am I not losing weight?
I currently weigh 135lb but my diet was quite poor. For two weeks I have cut out all junk food and been eating a flask of smoothie for my breakfast, the white of a boiled egg mid-morning and usually a salad for lunch. I have fruit for afternoon if I’m hungry then supper is smaller portions, usually just lean meat and veggies. I’ve also been drinking loads of water, running 3 mornings a week and doing my usual pole gym about 3 nights a week, so although I’m still toning I’m not losing weight. Will it just take a while longer? I only want to lose about 15lb I’d say.

Answers:

That's a pretty healthy way of life you have right there. Keep it up. Your body will find the right place to be that suits what you are doing. Do not forget that muscle weighs more than fat and you are probably laying down some lean muscle and losing fat. The scales do not always tell the whole story.

I think you should work out harder because somehow your body had already gotten used to your exercise routine.

you cant lose weight, you crazy!

Yes, give it more time, your body weight will flutauate more in the beginning, it can be very misleading, so forget about the scale or at least don't pay much attention to it. Eat the yolk, good fat, with choline, cholesterol fighter, no worries, eat it. And try to get yourself to eat lunch, don't skip meals. Think long term, what are you going to do after the 15 lbs, quit, and call yourself fit for life ? There are so many more benefits to living a healthy lifestyle, numbers on a scale are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all the great things you can look forward to, so don't cheat yourself from this chance. Stick with it a few months, if your doing it right, you'll get hooked, and love it!
