A friend once told me that vitamins work ? absorb better if you take them right !

Question: A friend once told me that vitamins work ? absorb better if you take them right before bed. Any truth to this?
Do they "soak in " more during the night whilst sleeping? THANK YOU!

Answers:

Sleep is the time for your body to repair itself. Vitamins and minerals are needed for our bodies to stay strong. The best defense for staying strong is to be knowledgeable about nutrition. To eat healthy is the BEST way to get what your body needs. Eating before bedtime causes your body to not be able to do the work that it needs to do for repair because it is busy digesting food. I would assume that it is the same for any supplements.... it would be breaking them down, using bile and enzymes instead of being able to repair. so, unless you are taking liquid vitamins, and are taking them about 3 hours before bed, I would say that the info might be skewed. Taking them an hour or so after your dinner might be a sound practice, but just before bed? No.

Actually vitamins dont work, your body only absorbs 10% of them and the rest well......., my old human physiology tutor is a Dr of toxicology and my research paper was on vitamins and mineral tablets etc and he stated and also the research i did tells you that they do not work, no matter what time of the day it is, it is also just a way for companies to swindle more money out of poor folk, best way to get ya vitamins is through a healthy well balanced diet, sorry if this is not what you want to hear but it's true....... hope it helps,

Vitamins do not work much.Except 10 percent goes through urine. Most of the people do not have any vitamin deficiency. If you take a balanced diet including vegetables, milk, fruits ,you may not require any vitamin supplement. My advice is that consult a doctor and take only those vitamins he suggests.Do not waste money ,following advertisements of medicine companies.
