Depends what you want to bulk up.
Protein is the best. I would advise to just start lifting weights. You'd have to do a different exercise for each muscle group. (Arm, legs, butt, core, etc)
But remember, gaining muscle will also burn fat, so you dont want to eat like you're on a diet, i would say eat meats like steaks and just stay on a good nutritious diet.
To bulk up one needs to use heavy weights and do a few reps. To tone, you use light weights and do many reps. Eat lots of protein. Stay away from carbs and junk food. How long it takes will depend on how motivated you are, and how hard you work each day at it.
