I've been eating healthier for a week and I've gained two pounds!?!

Question: I've been eating healthier for a week and I've gained two pounds!?
What's going on? Less calories should equal less weight, right?

Answers:

If you are really serious about losing fat, and you should be, then you must learn about how your body works.

The most important strategy is to regulate your blood glucose/insulin levels. You have to eat low carbs. If you are unable to lose fat, you must realize that the way you're eating is causing insulin surges throughout your body, which causes hypoglycemia and prevents fat burn for energy. You will crave more carbs, even if you just ate.

Eat 5-6 small meals per day. Every 2-3 hours. If you are hungry when you eat you are not only setting yourself up to eat excessively, but your body will also store more food as fat!

The next most important aspect of your diet is your omega-6:omega-3 ratio. Many clinical studies today show how too much omega-6 (what you find in vegetable oils) is a major cause for obesity and all the health complications associated

Keep away from hydrogenated oils, soy (except soy lecithin), trans fats, and polyunsaturated fats. Omega-3 fish oil should be used as a supplement. Forget about calories -- monitor your carbs! I won't be able to tell you how many carbs unless I know your stats. You can easily find out for yourself by checking out my blog though and learning how to do this correctly.

At this point, the type of exercise you add to your eating lifestyle is irrelevent. Just be sure to exercise a few times each week.

Many benefits can be received by fixing your diet, such as reduced anxiety/depression, better sleep, more energy, no carb/sugar cravings, rapid fat loss, better memory, improved thinking, reversing insulin resistance, etc.

Don't feel bad for being overweight, it is not your fault! You live in a world filled with misinformation, especially from most major health organizations. Learn how to burn the fat for good. Improve your life, feel better, live better. Don't wait until it's too late!

Years in the fitness and health industry and many clinical studies researched.
