Hello, After working out your muscles need protein, since your a vegeterian, soya beans is a great source of protein for example,
since you work out late, it is also very important that you avoid sugar or startchy (high carbs) foods, because they will turn into fat cause your body won't be able to metabolize them since you ll go to bed soon after you eat.
When you workout your body also looses a lot of important minerals, such as potassium and other mineral salts.
my best advice is that you should eat:
- a banana
- something high in proteins, like soy beans
- a lot of water

By the way, the reason why it is so important that you eat protein is because when you work out, your muscles stretch, and so little separations appear between your muscle fibers, thats why you feel a burn... when you eat protein, the protein is gonna go "fill" those empty separations, thats gonna get your muscles to grow, the more muscle you have, the higher your metabolic rate, the more you ll burn calories, the more u ll loose weight.

sorry for my bad english, hope it helps

Actually, it is the very best time to eat carbohydrates after a workout. Our body is able to metabolize the sugar in the carbs much better than if you had not exercised before you consumed them. Enjoy the carbs because you earned them! Also, add some protein so it will nourish the muscles you just worked during your exercise (so it can heal and rebuild better) :)

Peanut Butter, Wheat Bread, and Olive oil is very good for your health in moderation..also as much fruits and veggies your heart can handle :)

Also, egg whites are extremely nutritious for you..not a lot of calories and lots of protein. Make yourself an omelet with maybe a little cheese and sour cream! Yum!

Lost over 90 pounds in the past 2 years.
