Can I lose weight as a bar-back?!
Question: Can I lose weight as a bar-back?
I am starting a new job as a bar-back. This means I am running food from the kitchen in a restaurant on the 3rd floor to the bar down on the first floor (200 year old building with LOADS of steps). With all of these steps and carrying 10-25 pound loads of food for 6-10 hours be enough of a workout to lose weight, or should I work out on top of all of this?
Before I go to work, I'll eat a bowl of wholegrain Cherrios with milk and a banana. For lunch, I'll have a veggie wrap that consists of a cut up portabello mushroom, spinach, tomatoes, feta cheese and i forget what else but I am sure it's healthy. Then for a snack I'll have a V8 and a granola bar. Then for Dinner I'll have to eat a quick salad at home because I will get home around 11:00pm.
P.S
155 pound female, 5 feet 7 inches. Am very lazy until I start this new job tomorrow.

Answers:
Yes, you'll lose weight if you keep the same diet. With the extra calories you're burning, you may need to actually eat a little bit more. Just don't overdo it.
