Question: How to get leaner? please read?
So I've been working out good and running (doing some weight and abs) and eating well... I'm a lot more toned and I can tell I have muscles, but I still want to be leaner. My legs are still a bit thick and I've always had muscular legs but my thighs could be a bit smaller and I want to lose the last bit of fat on my stomach.
I'm 5'6 and 145 lbs and I have an hourglass shape. What can I do? I'd like to lose about 5-10 lbs quickly.

Well I can't help you with "quickly" losing weight b/c that's a process which takes time but I catch what you're saying and can help.

You're going to have to tweak your diet. Diet is roughly 90% of the battle. Guys and gals that have phenomenal bodies not only workout hard at the gym but are even more diligent away from the gym by eating right. Think about it this way. You're only at the gym a small percentage of the time during a 24 hour day. The rest of the time you're away from the gym and that's where diet is key.

If you post what your diet is like, I can definitely pin point what you need to tweak. As a general rule though, you should be eating 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day, typically every 2-4 hours to keep your metabolism fast. Your diet should consist of lean chicken, turkey, egg whites, tuna, lean beef (sirloin) and fish. This low carb approach along with getting most of your carbs from green veggies will help you get over the hump. It's not easy but can be done. If you feel zapped with energy (happens with lower carb), on workout days, you can swap add 1/2 cup of brown rice post workout and or get some oatmeal prior to workout. Let me know if that helps.
