Question: HELP: Im on a diet and have to eat out!?
So I am on a diet and can only eat 400 calories as my Dinner. It is my Bday and my BF is insisting on taking me out... What could I order that I wouldn't consume over 400 calories...

Eating out choices:
Mexican
Pasta House
Roadhouse (Burgers/sandwhich type place)

What the heck? If he's your boyfriend, he should be supportive of what you do. That includes dieting. Tell him you want to eat at a place that has a salad bar. Go for the soup and salad - it's mostly water and low in calories.



Um, none of the above, mostly. Pasta is something like 200 calories per ounce of dry pasta, so that's absolutely out of the question. And most Mexican food is rather fatty, and comes with rice, beans, or tortillas, all of which are high in calories. You could get about two Fresco style tacos at Taco Bell, with no sides.

As for a roadhouse, even a very small burger is going to come in around 400 calories. Your best bet is to get a small grilled chicken breast or very small (6 oz or less) lean steak, with a side of broccoli but seasonings like pepper or herbs instead of butter. You'll probably still end up with over 400 calories, but not by much.

A dish called "Dragonfire Chicken" at TGI Friday's is very tasty in my opinion, and is listed at 500 calories, so that's a good option if you can live with the extra 100 calories.



First of all dear.............you can eat more than 400 calories!

But if you insist on a dinner, that low in calories, eat a salad, with lean chicken in it, and a low fat dressing, and drink water, or decaf coffee, or a diet drink!

She did it, and didn't count calories............she can eat all the fruit she wants, and not count it, even banana's, enjoy your Birthday............have a great time, and eat what you want! One day is not going to make you gain weight!
In the morning, have a low cal breakfast, and start eating healthy!

DO NOT DEPRIVE YOURSELF, it will lead to failure!



All those restaurants seem fattening...I suggest olive garden because before you order your meal they give you the choice of soup or salad...and go with the salad to get filled up with that and when ur meal comes ull practically be full so u won't eat much and u can take ur meal home...although it's a bit pricy I went with my bf and for both our meals it was about $100



I think the best thing to do would be to ring up the restaurant(s) you are planning to go to and ask them for the calorie and nutritional information for each of the dishes you're considering ordering.



Just find something light on the menu.. Really leave off the bread have a steak with salad. Dont worry about tonight just enjoy.
