Is it good or bad to do 300 squats every other day?!

Question: Is it good or bad to do 300 squats every other day?
I'm a 5'4" female. I currently weigh 127 pounds. I had a baby 15 months ago, and I've been eating healthy and working out to get back in shape and tone up. I gained a whopping 75 pounds while I was pregnant. Before being pregnant I was 110 pounds.

Just curious if 300 would be considered "over - kill".... Thanks!

Answers:

Your weight for your age height certainly isn't unhealthy, but I suppose working for a "robust" appearance after a pregnancy is understandable. I'm pretty sure breaking it down to 150 a day is better for your body's structure and overall health. Good luck!

Yes, overkill.

I dont see why you'r doing them.

I you wana lose fat [not "weight"], gradually start walking and do it longer and more vigorously.

If it's ok w/ your doc, gradually move onto jogging.

You should do an overall weight training routine that would include legwork.

Squats w/ light wts are ok, but w/ heavy wts put unacceptable stress on verterbral discs & leg joints.

3 sets of 10 everyother day w/ a light barbell would be ok. Maybe 40 lbs or less.

If in a gym, do incline leg presses instead.

Use only scientifically valid info for workouts and optimizing your diet.

Dont get conned by fads.

If there's any pain, refrain, use your brain.
