Does this sound healthy to eat?!


Question: Does this sound healthy to eat?
I made a trail mix to snack on, it's really good! I just want to know if it's ok to eat for someone who's trying to loose weight? I put it in little snack bags so obiously the portion is small but here's what it has in it:
Chex Cereal
Sourdough Pretzals
Mini Rainbow Marshmallows
Dried Dates
Unslalted roasted peanuts
Dark Chocolate Chips

yes, i think its fabulous. high in protein, fiber, and good carbs. of course the marshmalows arent very healthy but as long as they are limited to a little bit itll be fine:)

There's a lot of salt in Chex so be careful on how much you have.
The downside of marshmallows is that a lot of the calories are from processed sugars.
If the sourdough pretzels are made from unbleached wheat flour, a good choice but they can also have a lot of sodium.
Peanuts - Great
Dark chocolate - another great addition

As an in-between meal snack in moderate portions, it seems pretty healthy

It's high in refined carbs and sugar with some good fats from the peanuts.
For an occasional snack at about a 1/4c size it wouldn't be disastrous, but this is not anything you should consume on a 'diet'.
Try an apple and a string cheese stick, or a small handful of raw almonds, a small portion of Greek yogurt or a hard boiled egg. You want to keep your carbs low and your protein high so you don't lose muscle mass.
Diets are hard, try easing into incorporating more fresh fruits, veggies and lean protein into your life and create a healthier lifestyle. Diets often fail because you deny yourself too much, just try to make better choices, one day at a time, one choice at a time. Get moving more to tone. Realize you will stumble at some point and just keep on track. Blessings
