Question: White pasta or whole grain pasta for weightlifting?
Answers:

white pasta is garbage, and so is anything else made with enriched white flour. The only plus is that it has protein, while the whole wheat pasta has fiber and protein, and wont turn into sugar in your body the way white will.



Definitely go for whole "grain" pasta whether you are engaging in weightlifting or not. Reason is, whole grain pasta is full of wholesome minerals that are not destroyed by bleaching. The reason some pasts is lighter color is due to the "bleaching" process done on the whole grain that unfortunately kills the minerals in it. Consequently, we are not getting the nutrients we need from eating these look good pastas. Always go for whole grain rice, pasta & bread. It is always better for you.
