Answers:

When you put your mind to it, it's really not that hard locating foods that burn fat that are affordable. Most important ,if you are really serious about this and you're focused , its best to read information on what you should eat in order to get the desired results you're looking for. A few years back I was in the same position and I did what ever it took to get the results.Salmon, Beef, Turkey, Skim Milk, and many more are just a few foods that you can eat to increase your METABOLISM. I used a unique program that helped me get to where I am now and I'm still following this plan at this very moment. It's too much information for me to place on this answer forum , however i strongly advise you to take a look at it... This will change your life...,....

I'm sure you'll be able to find some time to fit exercise into your lifestyle, otherwise you're not going to be able to lose 48 pounds over any reasonable length of time. Try cycling or walking to work, since that way you'll be exercising and also getting yourself into work. If you're looking for things to eat which can assist weight loss, then you should be looking for foods low in saturated fats, relatively high in fatty acids, high in fibre, high in protein, fairly high in carbohydrates, but avoid sugary foods. If you lead an active lifestyle, then the kinds of carbohydrates you'll be wanting to eat are slow released carbohydrates, such as starchy foods, as oppose to foods high in sugars. Nuts are good snack foods.

There are also some things you can eat to increase your metabolic rate, such as chili peppers, dark chocolate and green tea.

Capsaicin found in chili peppers in the active ingredient which causes the chilis to be spicy. It can help to increase your rate of respiration and thus the rate at which you burn calories.
The Theobromine in cacao causes the release of dopamines or 'pleasure hormones' in your brain, which help to relax you and also assists in fat metabolism.
The Caffeine in green tea also can increase your metabolic rate and can assist in exercise, since it acts as a stimulant.
