Is this a good start to get in shape for a 16 year old?!


Question: Is this a good start to get in shape for a 16 year old?
So, this past week i went jogging for every week 6:30-7:00 am.
Before that though, i eat a banana for breakfast.
For lunch, i eat a turkey sandwich (No mayo, no lettuce) just plain.
For dinner i eat whatever (Proportionally)


Is this a good start to start getting in shape?

thats excellent. well getting in shape is always good. but remember you need to eat also. running is excellent for your leg muscles and also your core. tennis is great for your arm muscels as well!



You need more for breakfast as breakfast is the most important meal of the day to get your metabolic system going. Breakfast should be either low fat cereal with skimmed milk and fruit if required or boiled egg on toast. tea/coffee/juice. Lunch: the turkey sandwich is good but you need vegetables like salad and tomatoes for vitamins, for dinner any low fat meat or fish or pasta with potato's and vegetables. The banana that you have for breakfast should not be eaten everyday as they are high in carbs.

I have tried every diet over the past 30 years and lost and regained weight but last year was diagnosed as type 2 diabetic and have to stick to a healthy diet and exercise and I have lost 14lbs. To stay fit and healthy you have to stick to a healthy diet and exercise for the rest of your life. Good Luck



Yes I would also get involved in a sport you enjoy. I play soccor and run cross country. Dont forget practice makes perfect.

That is actually very good, but run LONGER than 30 minutes..
Also, drink water and ate vegetables...
3 meals and 3 snacks a day + exercise will boost your metabolism and help you lose weight faster!
