Question: I'm gaining weight even though I exercise and eat right. Please help?
I exercise on the treadmill 3 days a week for 40 mins.
I eat right. I normally consume 1300-1500 calories a day.

Yesterday, for example I had a boiled egg with 2 sausages, toast, milk, honey and almonds. For dinner I had KFC grilled chicken, sting beans, 1 biscuit and potatoes. I had an apple too.

I'm sure it's not my period either.
It should come on in about 4 days.

I do crunches and leg exercises, aswell.

I'm 18

Since I've started exercising, my weight was risen to 140 from 133 and I'm 5'4.
I'm sure it's not muscle because my stomach looks fatter.

Please help.

1300-`1500 calories is too much. You need fewer to lose weight. or you will just get muscular with the exercising
Where are the vegetables? Where are the salads that fill you up, with few calories?
Should be only 1/2 sausage, no honey, 1/2 slice of toast no almonds. .
Kfc grilled(1 small piece only) , no potatoes.
Your exercising is more than enough, but you have to stop eating all the carbs. Always eat breakfast to get your metabolism going.



Wait, your period?
Miss, you do acknowledge that women tend to bloat on their periods, right?
That's probably the weight gain. Bloating is water retention in your stomach.

edit: also, are the sausages frozen or raw? The frozen sausages tend to actually be really bad for you. High calories, fat, and especially in sodium...the sodium does not help your bloating.
As for your dinner, I'd suggest you not go to KFC for your dinners. You can prepare a much healthier chicken & potato dinner at home.
(I've made simple mashed potatoes by using the microwave to cook the potato and light sour cream to get it to be like mashed potatoes. It's really delicious, actually. :O Just season it as needed.)



try less calories. KFC isnt exactly healthy food. and apparently honey is bad when your on a diet as well. eat more fruits and veggies.

edit:and i dont know how many potatoes you eat but one is about 110 calories. You should look into the calorie thing more, beacause what you eat isnt really healthy.

It is a possibility of over-stressing. Many women do that not realizing that thinking too much also is bad for health. Enjoy life!
You are 18, stay off from pork. Pork has nothing but pure fat for you, and also could be bad for you health.
If this doesn't work then, try to fast. Like the muslims do. Don't eat or drink from sunrise till sunset every other day. If that is too hard then try to do it once a week.
Also don't eat after 10-pm, don't even try to eat heavy food at that time. After 4-pm, don't eat any heavy kind of food, like chicken, beef, anything fried, and soda.
Try these techniques and see what works for you.
