When trying to lose weight, is it ok to consume carbs?!

Question: When trying to lose weight, is it ok to consume carbs?
Is it ok to consume carbs if they have wheat in them? Wheat rive, brown bread, etc.

I'm trying to lose weight but I've read that i should stay away from carbs.
I don't want my body to go into starvation mode since I've been exercising 3 days a week for 40 mins.

I'm 5'4 and 140 lbs and want to get to 130.

Thanks you!

You have to have some carbs. but there are special diets where you severely limit your carb intake like the Atkins diet. No one's really doing that anymore because its not very healthy, but the weight will pour off of you. I was on it for 2 weeks and lost 16 lbs. No lie.

It's almost impossible to go zero carbs, because almost everything contains a trace of carbohydrates. Technically yes, you will lose weight is you remove carbs, but that's because carbs retain water, and a liter of water weighs around 2.2 pounds. There's no point in "losing weight" if that weight doesn't even matter.

You should consume carbs. Ketogenic diets (like Atkin's) may be utilized for some time, and they do work, but they were initially designed for epileptics. You will feel horrible using that plan, especially if you exercise. There is a proper time for every kind of carbohydrate, depending on its Glycemic Index, or how fast it breaks down and releases glucose into your system. You can stick with low-GI foods, like vegetables and most fruits, all day. High GI foods, the sweet stuff, should be consumed immediately after workouts.

It was so really hard for me to lose all that weight. I have tried so many products but they always left me disappointed. After I had my first child, it went down hill after that; I wasn't to lose the weight I put on from maternity and I just started getting depressed. I was considering cosmetic but it was really expensive. A friend of mine told me about these diet products that she used on a daily basis, I thought for a moment god no, it's another one of those, but she looked incredible. So I took her advice & started using them, have been using them for almost 1 and half weeks now. And I was shocked to see that I dropped 8 lbs. I couldnt see much weightloss the first week, but after that I began seeing constant weightloss. I've lost 20 lbs now. I have to tell ya, I feel incredible, and I'm sure my husband loves it. I trust my journey will get you motivated, now I just need to maintain the weight off and not fall back into one of those dreadful state again.

No, carbs turn to sugar and sugar is then stored in our fat cells since it cannot use it. Go to this link and learn about the cause of a wide range of maladies including weight loss. This is information that everyone should know. Carb intake should only be about 5 grams a day.

Yes, carbs are necessary! They give you energy. As long as you eat the right kind of carbs & avoid the refined ones (like the ones found in white bread), you'll be fine (: Hope this helped! xx

No problem you can consume carbs. they are ultimate muscle builders.

People need carbs to get energy. I couldn't live without carbs. I'm actually on a carb diet where thats all I eat. You may want to try it!
